HEB FOUNDATION, INC 86-3189418 | Government Grant Application

HEB FOUNDATION, INC | Application Preview

HEB Foundation, Inc. is seeking government grants to empower its mission of assisting individuals in overcoming social economic challenges. The funding will be allocated to hiring capable staff and covering operational costs such as rent, furniture, technology, and advertising materials.

The foundation aims to support at least 20 individuals weekly in areas like affordable housing, employment, and obtaining SNAP benefits. Their goal is to continually expand the number of people served and improve successful outcomes in tackling issues like hunger and unemployment.

HEB argues for funding by highlighting its unique approach to addressing barriers such as transportation. They plan to provide bus passes to new hires for their first month to enhance success rates. Additionally, their flexible operating hours are designed to meet community needs better. The organization emphasizes its commitment to diversity, reflected in both its staff and leadership, which includes professionals from various backgrounds, including members of Greek organizations and young entrepreneurs.

In terms of competition, the foundation identifies three main rivals: Workforce BETC Buffalo, BETC Cheektowaga, and BETC Orchard Park. HEB believes its competitive edge comes from the passion of its leadership for solving social economic problems and its diverse board, which is actively engaged in furthering their education through adult learning courses.
