  • Funding Usage

Due to having a low credit score, in order to move to a new home, I am obligated to pay 2 months’ worth of rent for the down deposit as well as the 1st months rent. I’m wanting to move to Clearwater, Florida where my job opportunity is -- the average monthly rate of rent is $1,365. If you triple that number to make 2 months for the down deposit plus 1 month of rent it equals $ 4,095. In addition, I would need to hire a mover which could rate anywhere from $500 - $2,000. There are usually some other unexpected fees during the moving process that I want to ensure that I’m equipped to pay in order to make a successful move.

  • Business Plan

I plan to continue being a music teacher. I am a single mother who works hard for what she has and I want to make the best possible life for me and my son. My family has all passed away and I only have myself to rely on. The unfortunate events that have taken place in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic has put fear in my life as I needed to stay home with my newborn to ensure his health & well-being. Now, that our society is a bit healthier I am looking into a career-change. I’m going from being a licensed music therapist in healthcare to a music teacher in education. I have received great feedback on my resume’s & I’m in the middle of the interview and certification process. It would give me great peace of mind for the well-being of myself and of my son if we were to be afforded a grant of $6,000 in order to move to a new home closer to my job opportunity.
