Johnson's Awesome Meatz LLC 86-1694839 | Government Grant Application

Johnson's Awesome Meatz LLC | Application Preview

Johnson's Awesome Meatz LLC is seeking government grants to fund several essential improvements and expansions for the business. The funding will be allocated as follows:

- $45,000 for a new tractor, which includes various attachments and a trailer. - $700 for purchasing four new gates. - $1,200 for fifty new posts. - $400 for five rolls of wire. - $600 for three new storage racks. - $3,000 for winter feed supplies, including grain and hay. - $5,000 for acquiring new livestock to enhance the herd.

The business plan centers on expanding operations through breeding and establishing vendor relationships with larger meat distributors for Boer Goat meat, as well as supplying local feed stores with small animals like rabbits. Additionally, the company raises rodents for reptile food and plans to utilize social media and a dedicated website to market animals on a national level.

The applicant emphasizes their commitment to the business, working long hours while juggling a full-time job, showcasing the dedication necessary for a small business’s success. The lack of direct competition in the region for meat goats supports their case, while competition in the rodent and meat rabbit markets primarily comes from well-established online corporations.

A competitive advantage is established by positioning the company as a new player striving to grow in an underserved market. The goal is to create job opportunities for 5-10 local community members and collaborate with local Future Farmers of America (FFA) organizations to support local students. This venture aims not only for personal success but also to contribute positively to the community by expanding access to animal sales nationwide.

  • Business Plan

I plan to grow business by utilizing breeding within animal stock. Becoming a vendor for large scale meat distributors for Boer Goat meat and local feed stores for small animals (rabbits) i.e. Rural King/Tractor Supply etc. The company also raises reptile food in the form of rodents. I plan on utilizing social media and building a website for access of all animals to be seen and/or purchased throughout the country. I am very dedicated to the success of my business. I put in very long hours in building the business and working a full time job as well. I understand the dedication and structure that is needed for a small business.

  • Self Identified Competition

In my region there are no competitors for direct to market Meat goats. All goat farms in area, raise for local 4H kids and/or for self only. The only competitors my company has in rodents and meat rabbits for snakes/reptiles are large corporations that are online like PerfectPrey.com or RodentPro.com. My company is based in rural Southeast Ohio. I am a growing small business that will compete with large scale corporation's on producing animals. My competitors have been around for a long time and I am building it from the ground up. This is a business that I want to build and become big enough to start hiring between 5-10 local members of community, to increase job opportunities. I will also work with local FFA organizations to help students in my area. This business is for me but it will also be used to help build my local community by going nationwide in selling animals.
