Slc's Sacred Gemz, LLC 85-1503139 | Government Grant Application

Slc's Sacred Gemz, LLC | Application Preview

Slc's Sacred Gemz, LLC is seeking government grant funding to enhance various aspects of its business operations. The funding will be utilized for securing a dedicated live/work space or improving the home office, building inventory, settling past due bills, upgrading office equipment, and hiring additional employees. This investment will also focus on marketing and advertising efforts, boosting the company's social media presence, enhancing the website, improving displays, and participating in more events.

The business plan aims to increase staff, enhance online engagement, allocate more resources to marketing, offer jewelry-making classes, expand inventory, provide additional services, and secure more bookings for social events and festivals.

The applicant’s extensive experience in jewelry making spans over 20 years, during which they have created unique handmade pieces, each with a rich backstory. The goal is to grow the business while maintaining a commitment to customer satisfaction and creative innovation. The individual strongly believes in the cultural and social significance of their craft, and is motivated to spread joy through their jewelry designs.

In terms of competition, the applicant identifies Paparazzi as a key competitor offering inexpensive jewelry, but emphasizes their unique position as a handmade jewelry creator. Other handmade designers possess different styles and do not pose a significant threat to the business.

The competitive edge lies in the personalized approach to client needs and the intentional design of jewelry using materials like copper and natural gemstones, which are believed to promote healing and positivity. Additionally, the expansion into wall art reflects a commitment to uplifting energy in various environments, further differentiating the brand in the marketplace.

  • Funding Usage

I plan to use the funding to secure a live/work space or home office improvement, build inventory, pay past due bills, upgrade office equipment, supplies, tools, hire more employees, IT, marketing and advertising, greater social media presence, upgrade website, displays, greater event participation, brand building, transportation for deliveries and mobile business function, etc

  • Business Plan

I plan to increase the number of employees, create a greater social media presence, dedicate more funds to marketing and advertising, offer jewelry making classes, increase inventory, offer more services to clients, book more social events/conferences/festivals, etc. I have been making jewelry for over 20 years and have poured my heart and soul into my 1-of-a-kind handmade creations. Each piece has a back-story so the client also has access to a bit of culture and history when a purchase is made. I gain more experience everyday and I am constantly challenging myself when it comes to creativity. I go out of my way to make sure my clients are completely satisfied. I fully intend to expand and grow this business until the desired success is realized. As I continue to become more aware of the historical, cultural and social impact that my craft has the more determined I am to continue creating and designing jewelry that brings joy and information to those who support my dream.

  • Self Identified Competition

The only competition that I believe I have is Paparazzi, they sell pieces for five dollars, however it is not handmade and since I am a small business owner, if clients are looking for that type of jewelry, then they are not my customers. There are other handmade jewelry designers who have distinctly different styles and do not present difficulty for me doing what is necessary to build my business and gain a larger client base. I currently ship all over the United States. I am different because I listen to my clients and potential clients. I make jewelry that is functional and stylish with the use of copper that is believed to have healing properties, and natural gemstones that promote positivity and healing. Each piece is created with intention and purpose, to bring joy to the client and "adorn their already beautiful. I have also expanded my wire and jewelry designs to include wall art to bring the same uplifting energy into the home, office or sacred space.
