Kalon Herbal Cosmetics 863807119 | Government Grant Application

Kalon Herbal Cosmetics | Application Preview

Kalon Herbal Cosmetics is seeking government grant funding to enhance its range of all-natural, plant-based cosmetics. The funds will be allocated for purchasing essential ingredients, materials, and equipment, including a label maker, containers, packaging, and operational shelves.

The business strategy leverages social media to reach a broad audience, especially focusing on the unique experiences of Black entrepreneurs. Kalon emphasizes the importance of the brand's story and connection with customers, believing that this relatability fosters strong support from the community.

The founder aims to create products that address specific skin issues, particularly for individuals with conditions like eczema and sensitive skin. The overall mission is to positively impact lives rather than focusing solely on profit.

Although competition exists in the all-natural skincare industry with brands like Mielle Organics and Little Herb Co, Kalon views collaboration among Black-owned businesses as essential. The competitive advantage lies in the passion for helping customers and the shared goal of community upliftment, which distinguishes them in the marketplace.

  • Funding Usage

I plan on using the funding provided to purchases various ingredients and materials for my all natural plant based cosmetics. I do also need to purchase a label maker, bottles/ containers, packing bags and boxes, and also shelves. I also need to be able or potentially be able to purchase a base for operations.

  • Business Plan

Social media is a giant tools that has help tons of entrepreneurs spread the word about this all natural plant base cosmetics. Especially Black Entrepreneurs like myself. Another thing is the message and story behind your business. People love to support businesses when the Owner relates to the customers. The reason I know investors should invest in my start up is because the overall message behind my business is something hundreds to thousands of people can relate too. I wanted to start a business centered around natural plant based cosmetics that helps people with problematic skin. Like my self I do struggle with eczema and sensitive skin like many others. What I said previously was customers love to buy from businesses whose Owners relate to them. At the end of the day it’s not about the money it’s about who’s lives you can potentially change.

  • Self Identified Competition

There are a lot of all natural skin and hair businesses. Some that I relate to are Mielle Organics, Little Herb Co, and Naturall Club. The are center around natural ingredients just like myself. It’s not a matter of how you differ from the competition. All that matters is we support each other. Especially since we are all Black Owned Businesses. The message and your overall motive behind your business is what makes you different. If you are in it solely for money it’s not going to work but if you are here to help your customers then it will work for you.
