Conceptual Container Designs 82-0854100 | Government Grant Application

Conceptual Container Designs | Application Preview

Conceptual Container Designs is seeking government grants to fund the design and sale of containerized hydroponic vegetable farms. The business aims to address the growing demand for innovative farming solutions in remote areas, particularly in Alaska, where logistical challenges complicate traditional methods of construction and agriculture.

With shifting needs for affordable housing and sustainable food sources, the company believes that the shipping container model offers a transformative approach to the building industry. By utilizing shipping containers for homes, hospitals, schools, and hydroponic farms, they can streamline the construction process and reduce costs by eliminating the need for extensive shipping.

The competitive landscape features two main rivals, Boxable and Konbuild, neither of which currently operates in Alaska. Conceptual Container Designs holds a significant advantage: being located in-state allows them to provide tailored designs suited to local climate conditions and offer competitive pricing without the burdensome shipping costs associated with importing units from elsewhere.

  • Business Plan

With the increase demanding for alternative methods of farming in remote locations, the growing demand for more affordable housing, we believe that the shipping container design & build model can not keep up with this demand but also change the building industry as a whole. In the state of Alaska, we are surrounded by remote locations that create a massive logistical nightmare. Since shipping containers are already the main method of getting goods to those areas, why not capitalize on that standard by building homes, hospitals, hydroponic grow farms, schools and other buildings and in the meantime cutting out the middle process thus creating a more cost effective way to build.

  • Self Identified Competition

Our 2 main competitors would be Boxable, & Konbuild (out of China) both of whom currently don't offer their products in the state of Alaska. The primary difference is our location. We are in-state, therefore we can offer competitive pricing, designs specific to our climate without the exuberant cost of shipping to bring units to Alaska.
