Kastle Custom Flooring & More 87-1427895 | Government Grant Application

Kastle Custom Flooring & More | Application Preview

Kastle Custom Flooring & More is applying for government grants to fund essential equipment and tools needed for their operations. The grant will be used to acquire various items including a Galaxy sander, floor buffer, edgers, orbitals, a floor nailer, air compressor, vacuums, shop lights, sandpaper, wood filler, and other supplies.

Over the next five years, the business aims to diversify its services by adding five new offerings. These include residential construction led by Veteran Mea Triplett, HVAC services by Veteran Jamie Triplett, electrical services by Veteran Kyron Triplett Jr., landscaping led by Marte'Vion Curry, and interior design by MeAsia Triplett. All team members are actively pursuing education in their respective trades, while the company currently focuses on flooring and light remodeling. They plan to collaborate with local technical institutions to provide apprenticeship opportunities for students.

The funding is crucial for establishing the company as the first Disabled African American Woman-owned construction business in the area, emphasizing community rebuilding and pride.

In terms of competition, Kastle Custom Flooring & More faces major players like Lowe's and Home Depot, which offer installation services with material purchases, and Quality Wood Flooring, known for hard wood installations. However, Kastle's competitive edge lies in their ability to handle all types of flooring and flexibility in services. They also plan to provide customers with multiple quotes to ensure competitive pricing, positioning themselves to eventually contract with larger retailers like Home Depot in the future.

This company will expand to be the first Disabled African American Woman owned Construction Company in our area. It will also be a family owned company from the area to help rebuild the community with much needed pride.

  • Self Identified Competition

Our top competitor is Lowe's Home Improvement because they have the building materials and offer to install the flooring and windows when purchasing materials from them, but they do not offer real wood installation only tongue and groove prefinished or vinyl. Our second competitor is Home Depot who offers the same service as Lowe's but they have independent contracting services that can contract businesses that are not Home Depot employees. Our third competitor is Quality Wood Flooring which does all types of floors except for tile flooring in our area. They have been installing hard wood floors for nearly two decades in our area, but their main service is to only install hard wood floors. What makes us different from our competitors is because we can do all types of flooring. We will not be stagnated with the services we offer we will be a well rounded company. In five years this company will be able to be contracted by Home Depot while also gaining a competitive edge by beating competitor's prices by having the customer get two official quotes so we can offer a more competitive price.
