Trickle Creek Stables LLC 83-1078563 | Government Grant Application

Trickle Creek Stables LLC | Application Preview

Trickle Creek Stables LLC is seeking government grants to fund various improvements and expansions to their business. The primary funding goals include paying off existing loans for the reconstruction of stalls, acquiring essential equipment like a four-wheeler and arena plow, and building outdoor pens and shelters for incoming horses. These upgrades aim to enhance income potential and make the facility more appealing for horse boarding.

The business plan focuses on expanding outdoor pens and shelters to meet increasing demand, upgrading fencing from wood to durable steel, and creating a new outdoor riding arena with safe, low-maintenance footing. Additionally, the applicants want to ensure they have enough hay for winter and hire a licensed electrician to address safety concerns. They also aim to clean and secure the facility for overall safety improvement.

Trickle Creek Stables emphasizes its commitment to exceptional care as a small family-run business. The owners hope to finish renovations quickly to enjoy family time and the facility without the burden of constant repairs. As a military family, they wish for the owner's husband, who plans to retire after 25 years of service, to find joy in the facility as well. The therapeutic benefits of horses and creating lasting memories with their children are also significant motivations for these improvements.

In terms of competition, local facilities like 406 Arena and The King Arena offer similar services but do not provide the personalized care that sets Trickle Creek apart. The applicant has successfully attracted clients from these competitors thanks to their tailored care programs and private facility environment, which minimizes competition for resources like arena space. This personalized approach is presented as the competitive edge that distinguishes Trickle Creek Stables in the market.

  • Funding Usage

We would love to pay off a small loan we took out for rebuilding the stalls the first year, pay off the four wheeler, and arena plow, build new outdoor pens for incoming horses that would create more income, build shelters for those pens, new arena ground (sand) to make it safer for people to ride, build an outdoor riding arena (makes us more desirable to board at), make sure we are stocked up on hay to get us through winter, get a licensed electrician to work on all electrical and make sure its safe for the upcoming months. Clean up trees and areas around the facility to make it safer overall.

  • Business Plan

We want to expand all our outdoor pens and shelters to accommodate the growing need and requests I get monthly. We would build safer fencing around the property and eliminate all wood and replace it with steel to last longer. We would build a new outdoor riding arena thats enclosed with new footing and sand thats safe and low maintenance. New storage space to house more supplies like hay and shavings that we use daily. We are a small family business that prides themselves on offering the best possible care. We would love to complete all the renovations we have planned and make all the pens and fences safe for future use. We currently are only able to do so much each month as I can afford it so its taking a long time and I would love to complete it all at once so I can finally enjoy my family and this facility and see all the hard work pay off. We are a military family and my husband would love to retire this year after 25 years and several deployments. I would love to have him enjoy this facility without always feeling like his days off are spent having to repair things. Horses are therapeutic on so many levels so having him and others enjoy them would mean so much. I would also like to get these projects complete so I can enjoy my two young children who are growing up so fast. I will be the premier and desired location for Central Mt, thats my goal!!!!

  • Self Identified Competition

406 Arena, local facility and big competitor. They have several indoor arenas as well as outdoor spaces, but they do not offer what I do which is a personalized and tailored care program. People are always messaging me to get into my barn, but I just don't have the space or pens yet. The King Arena, same things, but outdoor and indoor arena, but not personalized care. I have several clients now who left them to come to me. Arrow JT. Small facility with lots of outdoor riding space. I am at my facility daily. I offer personalized care. Ie: give medications, grain, supplements, turnouts, blanketing, exercise for horses. I am the only place that will offer personalized care. We are a private facility so theres not a lot of fighting for arena time and space. People love that about my place.
