Rustic Renewal Riding | Application Preview
Rustic Renewal Riding is seeking government grants to support program expenses and to construct a covered arena. This facility will offer shade and shelter for students participating in horseback therapy and lessons, especially during extreme weather conditions in Alabama.
The business aims to expand its offerings by attracting more students and providing additional services, such as speech therapy facilitated through interactions with horses, wheelchair-accessible horse cart rides, and integrated reading and math programs using horses as a means of engagement.
Funding approval is essential as the organization operates in a rural community where many residents live at or below the poverty line. Accessing needed services typically requires a two-hour journey. Rustic Renewal Riding intends to bring essential resources directly to the community, embodying its motto of "love, life, and learning." The organization emphasizes the multifaceted benefits of horse therapy, addressing both emotional and physical needs.
While competitors exist in more urban areas, such as Therapeutic Riding of Tuscaloosa, Coyote Hills Therapeutic Riding, and The Red Barn, Rustic Renewal Riding highlights its unique advantage of local accessibility. The organization is dedicated to serving a community that greatly benefits from its specialized services, often overlooked due to its rural location.

Business Plan
The plan is to gain more students who can benefit from our services and offer more for them in regards to different services-i.e. speech therapy with horses, wheelchair accessible horse cart- and additional Reading and Math operations with Horse Powered Reading and Math programs. We are in a rural, poverty level community. To get the services we offer people in this area have to travel at least 2 hours one way. We want to show them we can provide what they need in their own backyard, so to speak. Our motto is 'love, life and learning' and we want to show this to the people we live and work with. We want to experience love, life and learning together. Horse therapy comes in m any forms- emotional and physical. We want to be there for those on all levels.

Self Identified Competition
Top competitors-although a couple of hours away- are Therapeutic Riding of Tuscaloosa, Coyote Hills Therapeutic Riding, and The Red Barn. As stated before, we are in an area where this is much needed due to lack of resources. The aforementioned competitors are in larger cities and have access to more available opportunities. We provide a local service to the ones that need it and often get overlooked due to location.
