Miss Jordans Cleaning LLC | Application Preview
Miss Jordans Cleaning LLC is seeking government grant funding to recover from economic setbacks experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, the owner paused the business to help slow the spread of the virus, leading to two months without income. Despite returning to work, the challenges of childcare and ongoing testing for her young son have impacted her ability to maintain a steady income, as any illness led to extended home stays while awaiting test results.
The application highlights a significant loss of over $8,000 in sales from Q2 2020 compared to Q2 2019. Although the owner was approved for the EIDL grant, she could not access funds due to running out before her application was processed. Recently invited to apply again, she finds herself ineligible for larger grants based on her middle-income residential status, despite facing considerable financial strain.
The business plan focuses on maintaining a high standard of cleaning services, ensuring client satisfaction, and fostering a positive reputation built over seven years. The owner highlights a lack of competition in the local area and positions herself as a trustworthy alternative to larger cleaning companies. Approval of funding would provide crucial support to help the family catch up on bills and sustain the business through these challenging times.

Funding Usage
Back in 2020 I put my business on pause. A business I have worked my butt off for and had established for an income for my family and myself to live. I put my business on pause to “slow the spread of Covid” I went two months without work. Although I have stayed steady with work since going back. Having two kiddos has been tough with the Covid rules. My son who is 2.5 has got tested for covid more than 5 times the last year. Anytime he had a runny nose/cough he was told to stay home and had to have a negative test in order to return back to daycare. My husband had a hard time talking off work, therefore I was the one staying home with him. It would be 2-10 days usually for those test to come back. If I don’t work, I don’t get paid. We also have a 10 year old daughter and with childcare cost while she was distance learning, and her mental state. We decided to put her in a private school so she could learn and have a “healthy” head. I applied for the EIDL grant back in April 2020, was approved but by the time funding got back to me it ran out. I recently got an invitation for the grant again but unfortunately I don’t live in a low income zone so I don’t recieve the 10,000 and $5000 grants through the SBA. Just because I live in a middle income zone doesn’t mean My business didn’t hurt this last year. And just because I was told to put my business on pause doesn’t mean bills didn’t stop. From Q2 of 2020 verse Q2 2019 I lost over $8,000 in sales and went two months without work in 2020z

Business Plan
Keep working my butt off end keep making clients happy with a nice clean house :) bringing joy into people’s life It would mean a lot to my family. I have tried fighting for the targeted advance and I seem to not be getting anywhere with the low income requirement. It would be nice to get caught up on bills and help our family out.

Self Identified Competition
There aren’t many around my area. I have worked hard to make a good name for myself. Being an honest/trustworthy cleaner. People like having me come and clean verse big companies because I have made a good name for myself over the last 7 years
