  • Business Plan

The 5 year plan to grow MBF is to develop a relationship with the communities of Houston, TX to educate and increase awareness regarding mental health through monthly events (art galleries, luncheons, scholarship ceremonies, neighborhood picnics, MBF sponsored sporting events, talent shows, etc.) in efforts to decrease the stigmatism as it relates to mental health as well as market and promote MBF services and providers. The plan also includes contracting with child/adult daycare centers, group homes, Houston Independent School Districts (HISD), and employers to provide access to vital resources and MBF mental health services. Investors should invest in MBF because of our mission "To heal the everyday mind." MBF is taking a fresh and new approach to mental health and applying it to everyday life situations to decrease the stigmatism of seeking treatment. We assist in identifying everyday life factors that may have an impact on a persons mental will being which includes but not limited to: job insecurities, low self-esteem, infidelity, impotency, bullying, tragic death of a family member, etc.. Due to the increase number of mass shootings, suicides, murder-suicides, and substance abuse related deaths over recent years the need for mental health facilities and providers is on the rise.

  • Self Identified Competition

Our top 3 competitors is: 1. Sun Behavioral Health: The mission of SUN Behavioral Health is to partner with communities to solve the unmet needs of those who suffer from mental illness and substance use disorders. 2. Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire: offers multiple inpatient and outpatient programs designed to meet the need of every patient, no matter the issue. Inpatient adult, and adolescent programs to outpatient partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, continuum of care can provide the treatment necessary to move patients toward a more independent future. 3. West Oaks Hospital: Has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over three decades. Our 160-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and includes a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. They offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults. Treatment is offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. MBF is different from other competitors because we seek to treat mental and social factors as it relates to mental health utilizing holistic therapies along with western medicine as needed. MBF treats a person holistically which identifies that the disruption of any human need factor such as food, love, security/shelter, self realization, and self esteem may lead to an impact on mental health. Once the human need factor is met, it leads to better mental health outcomes and western medicine is utilized as support when a patient have difficulties with healthy coping mechanisms. MBF combines the theories of nursing along with the theories of psychology and psychiatry to meet the needs of patients which makes us different in the approach to the treatment of mental health disorders. Our competitors focus on western medicine which focuses on body mechanics rather than social approach in identifying how to meet the needs of the patient.
