Urijah’s Piece 87-1637071 | Government Grant Application

Urijah’s Piece | Application Preview

Urijah's Piece is seeking government grant funding to purchase property, construct a building, and buy merchandise. The business aims to establish a strong relationship with the Dayton community and surrounding areas over the next five years, focusing on understanding and meeting local needs while supporting awareness and resources for individuals with disabilities.

The need for funding is underscored by the demand for tools and resources that can assist families in helping their loved ones lead fulfilling lives despite their disabilities. Urijah's Piece sees limited competition from retail stores and primarily faces competition from online outlets.

The unique perspective of the business owner, who has personal experience with autism through their son and professional experience with a range of disabilities in a nursing home setting, provides a competitive advantage. This background informs the business's approach and commitment to serving the community effectively.

  • Business Plan

Over the next 5 years I would love to have a great rapport with the city of dayton and surrounding areas of the Miami valley and be able to help support the community by giving back. To achieve this I will pay attention to what works and the needs of the community. The parents/guardians need more tools for their loved ones to help push them to achieving the best life they can have while navigating through their disABILITY.

  • Self Identified Competition

Other than online stores I wouldn’t have any retail store competition. My son was diagnosed with autism in 2014. With that and with him attending school I am able to see different children and their disABILITY first hand. Also I used to work in a nursing home that had an array of disABILITIES; autism, Down syndrome, Parkinson’s, etc.
