Joes Angels | Application Preview
Joes Angels is seeking government grants to fund various aspects of their caregiving business, including contractor pay, startup costs, subscriptions, and travel expenses related to client visits. The applicant, an experienced caregiver with ten years in the field and plans to attend nursing school, aims to expand their client base and hire more caregivers. They are also interested in becoming a vendor for Medicare and Medicaid in Wisconsin to alleviate the financial burden on clients.
The applicant emphasizes their passion for caregiving and the support they received from a client's family, which motivated them to start their own business. This business model aims to reduce the strain on families by allowing them to focus on being with their loved ones, rather than serving as primary caregivers.
In terms of competition, Joes Angels acknowledges the presence of established in-home caregiving providers in Southeastern Wisconsin, some of which have more experience and better reviews. However, the applicant is working to match the services offered by competitors while prioritizing higher pay for caregivers to enhance their performance and retention.
The competitive advantage lies in hiring independent contractors, which allows for better pay and, consequently, more motivated staff. Overall, the business plan seeks to create a supportive caregiving environment that benefits both clients and caregivers.

Business Plan
I plan to expand on the amount of clients I have, as well as caregivers. I'm looking to become a vendor in Wisconsin, so that clients on Medicare/Medicaid can also receive our services, without the harsh burden of paying out-of-pocket. Investors should invest in me, because I have the passion for helping people. I have worked as a caregiver for 10 years, and it is my calling to help people. I am a CNA, about to go to nursing school. I wasn't able to handle the amount of hours my client needed me, so the family encouraged me to start my own business. They had the faith in me to know what to look for in proper caregivers for their dad, and trusted me and my caregivers to provide him 24/7 care. This alleviated the family/caregiver strain that so many families endure. The family can now focus on spending time with the dad/grandfather, instead of being his primary caregiver.

Self Identified Competition
In home caregiving providers in the Southeastern Wisconsin area. One company has a longer history with in home client care. Another has more positive reviews than I do; I'm just getting started. Another competitor can provide care to clients who are on Medicare. I am in the process of accomplishing all these things that my competitors do, while paying my caregivers a higher hourly rate, which, I believe, makes them preform better. If they are paid for what they are worth, they'll want to keep working! I hire independent contractors, this way I am able to pay them more per hour. They are more incentivized to stay and work for my company.
