Funding Usage
We did some figuring and realized we’d need to reach a goal of $43,299.00 for a new truck and dump trailer: a 2020 Toyota Tundra Crew Cab and a 6 by 10 dump trailer from SLE Equipment. The Tundra is capable of towing 8,800 to 10,100 pounds and Toyota is well known for their reliability, plus the ratings on that truck were good. The dump trailer would make it easier to unload debris without having to do it all manually. Of course, pulling up to a customer’s house with a nice, well-kept vehicle makes a service provider look good even though the customer may not say it, they think it. So, with this combination, we were wanting to begin to scale JJ’s Dinomight Junk Hauling and get to the next customer quicker and save our backs and arms at the same time. While needing a heavy-duty truck and dump trailer are things that we need to get us going in the right direction, I did some more research and decided that I didn’t want us to go with just any truck. Since we’re in the Waste Management field, I began to feel more inclined to go with a more eco-friendly truck. How can I work in this industry and the truck we're using isn't getting the best fuel economy and is putting out more pollution since I drive so much? With that in mind, I began searching online like a kid getting ready to open Christmas presents on Christmas morning! After several hours of searching and reading, I came across an article that was mentioning the Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma, and more specifically the 2020 Dodge Ram 1500. It seemed as though I was divinely being pointed in the right direction because I had previously done some studies on each of these vehicles and how they hold up for hauling heavy loads.

Business Plan
We have been in business for 3 years, since 2018. We have a great strategy for getting new customers and retaining previous customers. We do plan to grow the business to a bigger company than it currently is by continuing to implement the strategies we've found successful along with some Search Engine Optimization and Google analytics. We currently use Facebook, Yelp, Takl, Angi, and Nextdoor to advertise. In the time I've been in the Waste Management business I've noticed 4 things: 1. A big trailer is needed to do large jobs or have contracts. 2. A powerful truck is needed to be able to pull those large loads. 3. It's a good idea to have help on those large jobs or contracts in this line of work. 4. It’s important to find ways to be more efficient and safe while maintaining effectiveness. I enjoy the fact that, at the end of the day, I know that we’ve truly helped someone in or outside of the community. Helping keep the trash and other non-wanted items disposed of properly and keeping the earth clean makes us and everyone else in the community happier. In my research for a more suitable truck and trailer, I found that the best trucks for this kind of work are 4 wheel drive or diesel trucks, especially after getting stuck in the mud several times with a full load. They say sometimes one has to learn by trial and error and getting stuck and tearing up someone's yard is one of those instances where I had to learn this way. A couple of those customers weren’t too happy after their yard was muddy but we made sure that before we left they were happy. That’s another issue a 4 wheel drive would solve. How we’ve helped and plan to continue to contribute: As a child, I got great enjoyment and blessing from helping others. Now as an adult, I realize how big of a positive impact a company in the Waste Management profession makes on the environment. Reaching our funding goal would do just that and more, like supporting a great cause, helping to make sure things like paint or plastics don’t end up in our drinking water, and making sure things like cardboard get recycled properly. Unlike most other Junk Removal companies, we take those extra steps while at the customer’s house or business to make sure metals, cardboard, household trash, etc., are separated. It takes a little longer but when we’re able to avoid the landfill we pass those savings on to the customer. I take pride in knowing I’m doing work that most don’t want to do; helping the earth and leaving the customer with a grand smile. I’m sure the philosophy we do business by is the reason we maintain a 5 out of 5 on our Facebook business page and have done business with over 300 clients. One thing that sets us apart from other junk haulers is that we regularly give away to the community, donate to places like Goodwill and Habitat For Humanity, sell a lot of things to keep as much as possible out of landfills, and in the future we hope to create and innovate ways to keep pollution down. During Covid-19, we provided customers with reduced fees to help individuals in that time of uncertainty. Between the customer and us, it’s mutual that going the extra mile means a lot and lasts a lifetime. Our Mission: Our mission is: to recycle and repurpose unwanted junk and send the rest into extinction. One of the issues we’ve had in being able to do that to the fullest is having to turn some potential customers away because the truck and trailer combination we’ve been using can’t handle their load. Having the right setup to do big jobs is imperative to the long-term success of JJ’s Dinomight Junk Hauling’s expansion. When Covid-19 hit us all it made us realize how important it is to be in business for yourself especially as an essential service, and how big of a role small businesses play in keeping the US economy alive. Companies like ours, from recyclers and movers to junkers and cleaners, play a huge role in that circle of life. Our world/country bonded together during a tough time and still is bonding to support those in need. Today, I’m asking you to do the same and support JJ’s Dinomight Junk Hauling in our mission to scale up and continue to send junk into extinction!
