INITECH ENTERPRISE INTERNATIONAL LLC 87-1633023 | Government Grant Application

INITECH ENTERPRISE INTERNATIONAL LLC | Application Preview

INITECH ENTERPRISE INTERNATIONAL LLC is seeking government grants to establish a clinic focused on providing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) services for children with Autism in Texas City. The funding will help launch the business during a challenging economic period, and the applicant has prepared a comprehensive business plan for review.

The clinic anticipates reaching a break-even point with six enrolled children, supported by market research indicating over 200 potential clients in the area, with no existing competing clinics. This positions the business favorably in a growing market where demand is rising due to the increasing number of autism diagnoses. Notably, the ABA services market in the U.S. was valued at $1.8 billion in 2017, with significant growth forecasted.

The funding also represents an opportunity to support a women-owned business catering to an underserved population of children with autism. ABA services are reimbursed by federal and state health plans, as well as private insurance, further assuring financial viability. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act ensures that eligible children can receive necessary services, which includes funding for ABA providers.

Currently, there is a shortage of ABA providers in the country, particularly in rural areas, leaving many families on waiting lists. The clinic will serve a local market that has no existing ABA providers within a ten-mile radius, despite a significant number of children in need of these services.

To differentiate itself from potential competitors, INITECH plans to offer a comprehensive package that includes ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, social skills classes, and unique features such as a Parent Viewing Room, field trips, community events, and workshops. Most clients are expected to participate full-time in the clinic, with an average engagement of three to five years.

The grant funding is essential for initiating this impactful venture, aiming to address a critical need in the community while ensuring a steady growth trajectory for the business.

  • Business Plan

I have a break-even point at 6 kids in my clinic. After much market research, there are over 200 potential kids in the city I am operating in with Autism and in need of a clinic. There are no other competing ABA clinics in Texas City so I have minimal competition. Based on my business models, I should grow year over year. This will be a women-owned business serving an underserved market of children with autism. Currently, the ABA market is growing at twice the rate of other multi-site healthcare businesses. In 2017, the ABA market in the U.S. was valued at $1.8 billion and was forecasted to grow to $2.23 billion by 2022. In addition, the ever-increasing number of children diagnosed with Autism and the endorsement of professional medical organizations ensure high demand for our service. Both federally/state-sponsored health plans and private health insurance carriers reimburse for ABA services. In addition, most states have laws that mandate publicly funded health plans to cover ABA as an Autism treatment. In 2014, the APBA reported that private health insurance paid for 42% of all ABA services, followed by TRICARE at 21%, and public health plans (Medicaid and Medicare) at 22.5%. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a federal law that mandates each state to provide eligible children with early intervention and special education services. This allows for federal funding to be utilized by schools to provide free and appropriate education to students aged 3 through 21 years old or until graduation or a GED is obtained. Many school districts contract ABA providers to offer services within public school classrooms.

  • Self Identified Competition

The number of ABA providers in the U.S. is growing but has not nearly met the increasing demand for this service, creating a shortage of providers in the market. Most ABA providers report waiting lists, especially those in rural areas. Currently, only 36 percent of Americans have access to ABA. Locally, there are 0 ABA providers within the proposed territory. Each of these office spaces can accommodate an average of 25 children. According to census and school district reporting, there are 375 children within 10 miles of the proposed office space. Success On The Spectrum provides ABA therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Social Skills Group Classes. SOS is distinguished from competitors by offering a Parent Viewing Room within each center, Field Trips, Community Social Events, and Parent Workshops. SOS also holds the rare and distinctive accreditation by the Behavior Health Center of Excellence (a badge of high-quality assurance). Most clients will be enrolled full-time and attend the center 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm). The minority of clients receive part-time services in their home (Monday-Thursday 4:30 pm-6:30 pm). Clients remain in the program for an average of 3-5 years.
