  • Funding Usage

HBCU students have a greater share of financial and family concerns. It is often the number one thing that keeps them from both enrolling and graduating. Our job is to help sustain and propel them right through graduation day. In addition, the success of these students who are working toward a bright future, may lack the resources they need to get there. These funds will be used to support our scholarship fund and will allow us to work with student leaders to improve financial and social wellness that focuses on building generational wealth. Furthermore, we use research-based and high-yield strategies, to improve the outcomes for all students, particularly first generation college students. Materials and supplies will need to be purchased each year. There will also be a recurring need for professional development as the program continues to grow and morph according to student needs. We focus on delivering quality education, raising awareness and developing clear success models so the program can continue to help people for years to come. Funds will also be used to create online resources to reinforce financial and social development within local settings. We focus on areas requiring greatest need, based on accessibility and participant achievement. A brighter future for the African-American community is what we’re all about. Swing Into Their Dreams is student-focused, HBCU-centric and socially conscious.
