  • Funding Usage

Obviously any grant would be incredible and help myself and the business going. That said I am open to consolidating the current loans that I have into one loan with a better interest rate. I don’t know if this will help or hurt but I’m also gay, if it helps I’ll run with it. If it doesn’t I won’t be shocked.

  • Business Plan

Within the next 5 years my growth expectations to have a book of business between 1.5 to 3 million. It’s insurance so that’s not what I would personally make but 10% of that seems reasonable. That said this is n entirely new business model so it’s taking longer than I’d like to get things rolling. I started in the insurance industry 3 months prior to Katrina, baptized by flood water, you might say! I was fortunate to have an aunt, Susan Geoghegan, who was a State Farm Agent so she initially hired me part time as I was trying figure out what to do about college at the same time. I understand the only reason I got the job was due to nepotism, again I was very fortunate. Trust me when I say, I kept that job for 15 years because I’m great at it and truly am passionate about insurance. I lost faith in State Farm but not the industry! In times of need when you have nowhere to turn, when a flood, fire or the loss of a loved one makes you feel like you’re about to break, I want you to lean on me. I want to make it a little easier for you to get out bed following a tragedy! I want you to know that when the world is crumbling around you I’ll be there to help you hold it up. If that’s not the purpose of insurance then I don’t know what is!

  • Self Identified Competition

    1. Other insurance agents with prime locations allowing a steady flow of new businesses and a comforting place for current insureds to feel confident about. 2. Myself at the moment. As I said earlier it’s taking me longer than I’d like to master the new process. I will though. 3. I fear that inflation isn’t going to be a flash in the pan. Sadly I think we’ll have it for some time. What are you going to pay for, bread or auto insurance? I was literally in the process of becoming a State Farm Agent. That was the 15 year plan. About halfway through I didn’t recognize myself or the company, that I had until then, lauded at every opportunity. It seemed to me my job was no longer about helping you stop the word from falling around you but rather to make you buy the car insurance instead of the bread! Excuse my language, but that’s total horse shit! Then god winked! A coworker I hadn’t spoken to in over a year reached out to me about the new company. It sounded great, almost to great! After seriously researching it I realized that Goosehead Insurance was where I needed to be. Within 3 months I had already turned in my resignation! That was hard, it was my family. Long story short rather than give you one quote, which was always high, I’m going to give you 12 different quotes, mix and match policies that work for each individual client. You’re going to get the bread and the insurance.
