  • Business Plan

Once the curriculum has been developed, I will expand to include multiple locations. I will partner with local colleges and schools to provide staff and resources such as the instruments they will learn about during the course. By year 3, Everlast 4 L.I.F.E. will also produce the instruments that are used during the program providing additional sources of income. By year 5, the program will also publish physical and electronic music workbooks, write and produce original video, song and music content that will be used specifically for the program and also available for the public with a subscription fee. The funds will be used to provide music education services to early childhood/preschool children from infants to pre-k. According to Bright Horizons website to whom I currently provide services at the Henry County location, "Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words." The children are introduced to music terminology, different instrument families, and musical influencers such as Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Bach and Brahms who they would normally not be introduced to which in some cases introduced them to a world to which they would not ordinarily be exposed. While I currently teach the program, I would like to provide children across the continental United States with music education and good citizenship and leadership skills through this program by certifying instructors extending the reach and influence of the program.

  • Self Identified Competition

Currently there are no competitors in my area. There are music programs for elementary, middle and high schools but none who provide those services in the daycare setting. In the daycare setting, typically music is taught by a teacher which are the sing-a-long learning tools that help to learn concepts such as planets, days of the week etc. but neglect the theory of music and the range to which the Everlast 4 L.I.F.E. Program provides. This program provides a larger scope than a normal early childhood education provides. While the students do learn the basics of the flute recorder, they also learn concepts on the piano and apply the music concepts learned by transposing music as a class.
