Lucky K | Application Preview
Lucky K is seeking government grant funding to enhance their lesson program by purchasing new helmets and saddles, acquiring additional obstacles for young and disabled lesson participants, and acquiring a few more safe lesson horses to increase the number of weekly sessions. Currently, the business is limited to 1-2 horses, which restricts the number of students who can participate each week. Additionally, Lucky K aims to create an emergency vet savings fund.
The business plan focuses on expanding lesson availability to serve more children, allowing them to engage in valuable equine experiences. This includes the possibility of transporting horses to events for lesson students, enabling participation in activities they would otherwise miss.
The funding request is driven by a desire to positively impact the lives of children, providing them with learning opportunities that foster hard work and determination, even in challenging conditions. Lucky K is particularly committed to supporting autistic and disabled students in forming connections with horses, which can lead to significant personal growth.
In terms of competition, there is only one competitor approximately 45 minutes away. Lucky K's competitive advantage lies in offering personalized lessons, as opposed to their competitor’s larger group sessions. This individualized attention is appreciated by students, helping them to learn and develop more effectively.

Funding Usage
I would like to have the opportunity to purchase new helmets and saddles for my lesson program. I would like to be able to purchase more obstacles for my young and my disabled lesson kids to go through and enjoy. I’d also like to be able to purchase a a couple more lesson horses that are safe and reliable so I can get more lessons in each week since right now I only have 1-2 horses for lessons so I can’t get all the kids that want to come in each week. I’d like to be able to have an emergency vet savings.

Business Plan
Expand the amount of lessons I can offer each day so more kids can learn all the great things there are to learn with horses. Be able to haul horses to 4h and shoes for my lesson students to participate in events they would normally never have the chance to participate in. I want to make a difference in these kids lives. Give them opportunities to learn what it takes to work hard for something even when it’s hot and they are exhausted. I want to be able to help my autistic and disabled lesson students have the chance to build a connection with such an amazing animal and be able to open up and enjoy it.

Self Identified Competition
In my area there is only 1 competitor about 45 minutes away. I offer more personal lessons where she does large groups. Some kids appreciate the personal time it helps them learn and grow.
