Keep The Mic On Entertainment, LLC | Application Preview
Keep The Mic On Entertainment, LLC is seeking government grants to secure a physical studio space, which has an asking price of $5,547 per month, for a duration of 1 to 3 years. The funding will be allocated towards upgrading essential equipment, including computers, microphones, soundproofing materials, a mixing board, a recording booth, and necessary décor and furniture. Additional expenses will cover contractors, lighting, insurance, vehicles for advertising and travel, and marketing efforts.
The business aims to leverage a motivated team of producers, artists, photographers, videographers, and engineers to enhance marketing and advertising initiatives. Given the impact of Covid-19 on traditional music production, Keep The Mic On plans to pioneer remote audio engineering, allowing artists to send files for mixing without requiring in-person interaction. The company will operate like a music label, providing a comprehensive experience that includes recording, photoshoots, and music videos. Although the headquarters will be in Austin, Texas, there are plans to expand into multiple cities and states.
The founder expresses strong ambition and a proven track record of leadership in past roles. The mission of Keep The Mic On is to foster a cultural movement that unites various art forms, from music genres to podcasts, promoting positivity and community values. The application emphasizes the founder’s commitment and the potential positive impact on the local arts scene.
In terms of competition, local rivals include Spitshine Studios and Blak Marigold Pro. However, Keep The Mic On distinguishes itself by focusing on remote audio engineering, which is not currently offered by competitors. Additionally, the business plans to host free educational events for aspiring musicians, focusing on mixing and mastering skills, and ensure a Covid-friendly environment with vaccination requirements if needed.

Business Plan
I plan to utilize my motivated team of producers, artist's, photographers, videographers, and engineers to the fullest in all outlets, especially through marketing and advertisements. With Covid-19 affecting the way artist's with home studios create music we will be the 1st to push remote audio engineering in which artist can send their files to one of our experts where we would mix audio of all kinds without physical contact. Keep The Mic On Entertainment will also work as a label in supplying artist's with the full industry experience all in one place where will record an audio session of song/album/ep, photoshoot, and music videos. We plan to have a KTMO Ent in multiple cities and states while our headquarters will remain in Austin, Texas. I am as ambitious as they come I'm assuming when it comes to someone applying for a grant. I've been working since I was 15 years old and every establishment I've worked for I've landed the leadership position in some way. I know what skills I bring to the table (any table) and now want bring it to a table of my own where I've devised my vision. I'm fueled by the lives of those close to me depending on me, but also see Keep The Mic On Entertainment effecting a whole culture bringing all arts together from poetry to hip- hop, comedy to podcast's, and R&B to Country for a positive uplift. Unity through no matter what mic you use. You should invest in me because I'm showing up no matter what, but it would GREATLY help the process if consideration is taken here. Thank you.

Self Identified Competition
In a local sense my competitor would be Spitshine Studios and Blak Marigold Pro but also I want to add a twist of Def Jam in the mix where I'd like to incorporate almost a bar or club where artist can perform on one side and a studio on the other. To my knowledge as far as the recording studio, neither offer or push remote audio engineering. Again with Covid-19 hitting the way it has I am the 1st to jump at the idea of a major push to mix remotely. Also, I want to host events for young up and coming musicians how to mix/eq courses, and mastering courses for free to give back to our community which I've yet to see my competitors do. We would also be Covid-19 friendly and vaccine would be required if rolled out in Austin, TX.
