Delta Med Clinic LLC 85-2431110 | Government Grant Application

Delta Med Clinic LLC | Application Preview

Delta Med Clinic LLC is seeking government grants to support its business operations, focusing on payroll expenses and monthly overhead costs. The funding will also facilitate the clinic's growth through investments in skill development and supplies that are well reimbursed by major payors.

The business plan emphasizes reinvesting all revenue for sustainable growth, using profits to expand services such as skills training workshops and advertising efforts. Additionally, the clinic aims to develop its adjacent business, Delta Med Spa, which has been financially supportive during its initial challenging year.

The applicant expresses a deep passion for healthcare, sharing a personal connection to the rural community where the clinic operates. After leaving a stable job to address unmet healthcare needs, the owner successfully renovated a previously neglected building into a prominent medical facility. A commitment to self-sufficiency has led to the development of marketing strategies and services without external help.

In terms of competition, Delta Med Clinic faces limited rivals, mainly the federally funded Jonesville Medical Clinic and Harrisonburg Family Health, both operated by Catahoula Parish Hospital District #2. However, the owner highlights an advantage in being more community-oriented and accessible, particularly for underserved individuals. Located centrally, the clinic is in a prime position to serve patients who may lack transportation, setting it apart from competitors.

  • Funding Usage

I plan to use the money to cover the cost of payroll expenses and monthly overhead. I also plan to use the funds to grow my business by investing in new skillsets and supplies that are highly reimburseable among most payors.

  • Business Plan

I plan to keep all revenue inside my business, in order to provide sustainable growth. Profits received will be applied toward activities that promote expansion of services (i.e. skills training workshops) and investing only in services that are reimbursed at high rates from major payors. I also intend to grow from expansion of both social media and traditional advertising in order to reach more clientelle. I also plan to grow another highly lucrative business of mine (Delta Med Spa, formerly known as Delta Skincare LLC), which also operates in the same building. This business has primarily sustained my medical practice expenses during this extremely tough first year. I am passionate about my profession, in health care. I was born and raised in the very rural town in which I now own a medical practice. I left a steady, high paying job and took a leap of faith by opening my own practice, after I saw a need for services that was not being met. I have worked tirelessly to renovate a once delapidated commercial building, previously owned by the State of Louisiana, and turned it into the most exclusive medical facility in our town. I believe in increasing revenue and shaving expenses when possible. This mindset is responsible for my self-sufficiency, which is why I created my own website, Facebook page, marketing and services (primary care and aesthetics) without any outside assistance.

  • Self Identified Competition

Jonesville Medical Clinic is owned and operated by Catahoula Parish Hospital District #2, in Sicily Island, Louisiana. It is ran primarily by out of town staff who do not personally know these patients, as I do. They operate primarily off of federal grant money. Harrisonburg Family Health is also owned by CPHD#2 (as above). It is located approximately 13 miles north of Jonesville. There are no other clinics / competitors in the area (to my knowledge) My sole competitor, Jonesville Medical Clinic, is located in an area of town that is secluded from the community. The majority of my patients are underserved, minority individuals without access to transportation. I'm located in the center of town, off of a major US Hwy (84). This has provided my clinic with increased exposure and is within walking distance of minority neighborhoods. My competitor is also federally funded and has a governing board which may hinder their ability to grow or provide more services, as I plan to do in the future.
