C&D Aviation LLC | Application Preview

C&D Aviation LLC is seeking government grants to fund the purchase of land and construction of a new facility. The planned facility will include essential areas such as two down draft paint booths, sections for assembly, painting, covering, welding, repairs, office and storage spaces, a chemical area, paint supply, and an engine test section, along with dedicated fuel tank storage.

The business aims to expand its workforce, offering training in various aspects of aviation, including welding, painting, aircraft knowledge, assembly, and riveting. Additionally, the company intends to enhance its media presence to attract more attention.

C&D Aviation highlights several reasons to support their funding request. They have garnered significant recognition, appearing in multiple magazines and winning numerous awards for their aircraft. Their experienced workforce has a strong tenure, with many employees having been part of the team for 5 to 9 years. As a small, family-owned business run by a husband and wife team who have been married for 39 years, they embody a personal touch, with one owner being a Navy veteran.

In terms of competition, they differentiate themselves from local aircraft restoration businesses by focusing on small aircraft and offering a level of personalized service that larger companies may not provide. Their competitive edge lies in their attention to detail, active online presence through instructional videos, a robust customer information system, and exceptional customer service that includes 24/7 phone availability and proactive support for customers unable to transport their planes. They also regularly share progress updates with clients, further enhancing customer satisfaction.
