Valiant Arts | Application Preview
Valiant Arts is seeking government grants to support its growth and expansion plans. The funding will be allocated for several key purposes, including acquiring a fleet vehicle for traveling to expos, purchasing sewing machines and a CNC machine for leathercrafting, covering operational housing costs, and buying additional materials like leather hides and rivets.
The business has experienced steady growth and aims to build a larger customer base, open a physical leather shop, and participate in competitions and theatrical events. The owner emphasizes the flexibility of being a sole proprietor, which allows for responsive adjustments to market demands. Additionally, a strong focus on search engine optimization (SEO) will help enhance the business's online presence.
Given the current consumer shift away from fast fashion toward supporting small businesses, Valiant Arts positions itself to create a 'see now, buy now' opportunity for durable leather products.
In a competitive landscape that includes businesses like Little King Goods, Six Elements Workshop, and Savage Crow Customs, Valiant Arts boasts a unique edge by offering handmade leather wearables and costumewear. The owner has also innovated with new dyes and finishes, and collaborates with competitors to refine their techniques, further enhancing their offerings.

Business Plan
My business has been steadily growing and gaining notoriety over the course of the last year, I plan on using my time to further build that customer base, open a brick and mortar leather shop, and showcasing my work in competitions and theatrical appearances. I also consistently perform content gap analysis to find what my customer base is in search of, as a sole proprietor and small business, I have much more flexibility than some of my other competitors. Lastly ensuring a strong SEO will develop my website and further build my business development. I will become a household name, along the likes of brands such as SUPREME. Consumers currently have peak stuff from fast fashion goods, and are transitioning with the pandemic to focusing on supporting small businesses and durable goods. With this investment, I can create a 'see now, buy now' environment for durable leather fashion and goods.
