Wag Enabled, LLC 80-0710418 | Government Grant Application

Wag Enabled, LLC | Application Preview

Wag Enabled, LLC is seeking government grants to enhance its website and support new revenue streams. The business aims to create added value for its customers over the next five years by connecting pet owners with local pet-related resources, fostering relationships between pet owners and small businesses. In addition, the company plans to develop a course catalogue to educate pet owners, which could help reduce the number of animals in shelters. The long-term vision includes becoming a funding resource for individuals in need.

The application emphasizes the founder's passion and successful track record, citing the previous sale of a small business that employed three people and served over 300 clients. This experience underlines the commitment to sharing knowledge and supporting local communities.

Wag Enabled, LLC faces competition from GoLocal.com, which offers local business discounts to members. However, the company differentiates itself by focusing specifically on pet-related businesses and providing unique perks like a course catalogue and birthday club. With the closure of Pet-Friendly Place, which previously provided listings of pet-friendly locations, Wag Enabled has an advantage in offering exclusive deals and events that incentivize local shopping. The company’s competitive edge lies in its targeted approach to connecting pet owners with local businesses while actively encouraging patronage through incentives.

  • Business Plan

I plan to grow my business to create more value for our current customers. In the next 5 years, I want to implement a service where I connect per owners to local resources (small businesses in the area). By providing a direct line of communication between the two, I believe that I can help small businesses grow and prosper in the economy. Additionally, I will be implementing a course catalogue to help pet owners better understand their pets in hopes of keeping animals out of shelters. My dream is that by year 3 or 4, to become a resource for people looking for funding themselves. I am extremely passionate about what I do. I also have a very successful business track. In 2010 I sold my first small business. I was able to grow an idea into a business that employed 3 people and had a client list of over 300 people. I love what I do and I want to share my knowledge and expertise with the local communities.

  • Self Identified Competition

GoLocal.com has a very similar business structure. They provide discounts to local businesses when people sign up for a membership. We will stand out because we are going to niche pet-related businesses. We will also offer additional "perks" like a course catalogue, birthday club, and other rewards. Pet-Friendly Place was a competitor but it looks like they are no longer in business. They provided a directory of pet-friendly spots in Seattle, Austin, and San Francisco. My business has an advantage over them because I am offering incentives for people to actually go shop at the local business through exclusive deals and events. The biggest difference between me and my competitors is that I am hyper-focused on connecting pet owners to local pet businesses. No one really does that right now. I also provide an incentive to the pet owners to actually go to support that small business.
