CPR Canine Training LLC | Application Preview
CPR Canine Training LLC is seeking government grants to support its operations. The funds will primarily be allocated for facility maintenance, acquiring dog training equipment, enhancing business visibility, and possibly relocating to a more suitable location.
The company aims to expand by delivering top-quality training and outstanding service, relying on positive word of mouth and targeted advertisements to enhance its reputation. This growth is expected to enable the business to gradually increase its prices and eventually branch into training and selling working dogs to governmental and law enforcement agencies.
The owner emphasizes a strong commitment to integrity, work ethic, and effective training methods. In recent months, several clients have approached him after being turned away by other trainers due to challenges with their dogs, such as breed or behavioral issues. He is dedicated to working with all breeds and behaviors without relying on punitive equipment like prong and shock collars, focusing instead on fostering true obedience and calmness through positive methods.
CPR Canine Training sees itself as competitive against larger training organizations like PetSmart and independent trainers by offering personalized services tailored to individual dog needs, unlike the standard group sessions provided by competitors. The training happens in a home environment rather than kennels, ensuring that skills learned are easily transferable to the clients' homes. Additionally, the company provides free follow-up training sessions, reinforcing its commitment to client satisfaction and ongoing support.

Business Plan
Our plan is to continue to grow our business through quality training and service. Through word of mouth and special ads, our reputation will set us apart from our competitors. This increase in business and reputation will allow us to increase prices over time. This income overtime will allow us to branch into the the realm of working dogs. We will be able to buy, train, and sell working dogs to civilian contractors, law enforcement, and government agencies. I pride myself on my honesty, work ethic, and quality of training. Over the last three mounts, I have had numerous clients come to me about dogs that other trainers turned away or clients who departed services of other trainers. Some of the reasons were due to the dogs' breeds, "aggressive" behavior, or because the trainer and the client did not agree on methods. I take on any breed, any behaviors, and I avoid the use of excessive equipment such as prong and shock collars. I do this to work on training from within to achieve true obedience, calmer demeanors, and respectful behaviors without creating any type of equipment dependency. This side of the business will eventually be used to fund the working dog side of the business. I trained military working dogs for the Department of Defense prior to separating from the Marines. I worked as a handler and trainer for a civilian contracting company. I have learned where improvements could be made and decided to start my own business instead of wasting time with close-minded trainers/owners. And I will continue to find new ways to set myself apart from others.

Self Identified Competition
PetSmart - Offers group training sessions and private training sessions. Group sessions do not cater to each dog specifically. My private sessions start off cheaper, are more flexible, and can cover in-home behaviors that PetSmart cannot work on. Independent K-9 L.L.C. - Similar to PetSmart. Optimum K9 Training, LLC - Offers similar services as us, but they are far more expensive and are not local to our area. With us, dogs are not put through "one size fits all" training that group sessions offer. My private sessions are not structured in a specific way that does not cover issues that clients are truly looking on fixing. I do not have any hidden charges or fees. I am local, cheaper, listen to what my clients want/need, and I care for their dogs as if they were my own. Dogs are not kept in kennels throughout the day. They are in my home receiving real life training that can be transferred easily into the homes of the clients. I also off free touch-ups and transition training for my clients based on what services they paid for.
