Business Plan
My plan to grow my business in the next 5 years is very tedious but will be highly efficient. I will begin by growing and expanding on what I have now. I will spend this year and some of the upcoming year primarily focusing on expansion so that I will be able to meet more of my audience’s needs and broaden my audience, so that my business will be able to grow and also collect more accurate data to use for scaling purposes later. I will grow and expand by increasing inventory and producing more products based on thorough research of my audience’s needs, what's trending and what's expected to trend in the coming seasons. I have already done tests that indicate a major growth in revenue due to an increase in inventory. This is because the more inventory materials being bought, the lower the price gets. This drastically increases the profit margins in my business which will be a major key to my success. Expanding in this way will also help expand my audience as I will have more options that will be used to target a wider variety of people. I will also heighten my growth and increase trustworthiness through high quality equipment and software to increase the overall value and look of my brand. These will aid in the production of high quality product pictures, and more flexibility which will help produce a well put together and aesthetically pleasing website and emails, which will also help me better compete against my competitors. I have tested this by hiring a professional photographer and content marketer for two clothing collections out of 5. The sales from these two specific collections surpassed all other collections' sales by 42%. I tested the strategy again and it surpassed the past collections by 55%. Following the expansion efforts, years 2/3 will be primarily focused on scaling. I plan to do this by applying strategies based on the consumer data I will have collected. I will scale by using precisely targeting marketing strategies to increase orders, order values, and increase my customer list by targeting look alike audiences based on my broadened consumer list. I will target women that have similar interests with my consumer audience and I will convert them into customers through various strategies such as already proven successful marketing tactics, as well as advertising and digital marketing. I will increase the digital quality and value of my brand by hiring experts in digital analytics such as SEO, digital optimization, and more. Following a massive digital scale in my business, years 4/5 for my business will include even more scaling with the main focus being working with top influencers within my audience niche. This will be highly successful and drastically aid in my business’ success because it will expose my brand to different targeted audiences and help draw more attention. Through research, influencers are proven to have the second highest success rate following paid advertising because when people see an individual they know or even idolize wearing something, they immediately want it too. It also helps with trustworthiness because if a high end individual on the verge of celebrity status is wearing something, the average individual automatically assumes it must be worth it. Following completion of this work, the solidified foundation and stage for my business will be successfully set. Our reputation will be solid enough for the growth and scale of more people to see it’s actually legit, has real customers, and is worth the hype. This will ensure heightened success in my business in as little as 5 years time, if not sooner. Investors should invest in my business because I have a very strong and detailed business plan, I have great business projections and I have 5 years of experience in the retail industry. Whereas many people start businesses not knowing what to expect, I started mine based on thorough research of what was needed in the fashion industry. Along with that, I have clear, effective strategies to grow my business and heighten annual revenue. I have a solid budgeting plan with detailed projections which will aid in how I manage and spend the funding. With my experience, budgeting and drawn out business plan, I know that my business will be successful and highly profitable over the next year, yet alone 5 years. To ensure accuracy, I have also been sure to test strategies and different theory ideas I plan to expand on with the funding, to ensure success which will result in high guaranteed returns for the investor.

Self Identified Competition
My top 3 competitors are Fashion Nova, Pretty Little Thing, and Kay & Co. Fashion Nova is my number 1 competitor because they are one of the top selling fashion brands in my niche of Women's Clothing. They are extremely popular and cater to women's fashion needs all over the world. They have recently even expanded their audience to selling Men's clothing, and Children's Clothing. Pretty Little Thing is another strong competitor of mine because they are highly influential in the fashion industry. They focus on fast fashion, keeping their clothing on trend, and they primarily focus on having many high profile influencers. This has helped them expand drastically over the past couple of years since they first launched in 2010. Another strong competitor of mine is Kay & Co because they sell super fashionable Women's clothing and their social media presence is very strong. A lot of my social media followers follow their pages and their clothing styles are similar to mine in that they are trendy, and on the classier side, so we target the same exact audience of women. My business stands out from my competitors for many different reasons. One of them being because my business isn’t just another fashion boutique, it solves a major problem in the fashion industry. With fast fashion on the rise, that’s what my competitors choose to focus their brands on. Even while they are highly successful, what they fail to realize is that women are looking for clothes that are trendy and fashionable, but also classy and concealed to a degree at the same time. My boutique prides itself on having high quality clothing that is not only trendy and fashionable but classy and covered up at the same time. Just as the old saying goes, “history repeats itself.” There’s a reason why all of a sudden vintage and old school styles are flying through the roof, classy women clothing styles are making a comeback. However my business flipped the narrative, classy with a bold, modern twist. There’s no other brand out there like mine that serves the best of both worlds and my competitors are all chasing the same, tired narrative. Another difference I found through research is, the number 1 problem I see in my competitor's businesses is bad quality or cheap products. Customers say it looks nice online but when they get it, it doesn't look the same or feel like good quality. That's my competitor’s weaknesses and my business' strength. I have a 72% Customer return rate because they know when they shop my business, they will be receiving high quality items that not only look the same as the pictures, but are also made to last. I also stand out because my competitors get their products from cheap vendors shipped from overseas whereas my products are made in a local factory where I can physically witness and ensure the standards of quality are being met. This runs into another major difference between my competitors and I which is originality. All of my competitors buy merchandise from wholesale vendors. A lot of times they even end up selling the same products as one another. However, my brand is exclusively designed by myself so while everyone else is selling the same thing, my products are originally, and exclusively made by me. Originality is a key factor in the fashion industry because it ensures a "one of a kind" stigma in comparison to seeing someone wear an outfit that's in your own personal closet. Another major difference in me and my competitors is what our brands stand for. My competitors don't have a strong connection with their audience or have a clear brand story, they are just trying to make money and sell clothes online. Through research and evidence through surveys, I created my brand based on what women actually stand for and want. My brand deeply connects with its audience. My brand was made to represent and encourage fearless women who boldly stand out from the crowd. Women want to feel empowered, they want to feel elevated. My brand targets that narrative and draws women in with the hopes to reflect everything that my brand stands for. My business isn't just a brand or an online website, it's a lifestyle that this decade is chasing after and that's something my competitors fail to cater to.
