  • Funding Usage

We are more than two months behind on our payments for loans, business bills, our non business bills which all together totals $83, 643.92 with $78,717.98 of that being directly business related. Unfortunately, our customers, whom are all agriculture based have not been making their payments thus we are getting quite far behind in our regular business payments. The extra grant money would be used toward future bills that we at this time would not be able to pay for due to lack of money coming in.

  • Business Plan

Currently our business is grown by word of mouth through our current customers, which has gradually grown our business over the years. It would be definitely helpful if we were more proactive in advertising our business via a web site/Facebook account. We currently have one advertisement out in a agriculture catalog, but certainly we could attempt to advertise more so in that nature as well. We are a small family agriculture based business that is trying to survive these difficult times that we are presently going through. Our source of income is derived from buying/trucking feed to ranchers that turn around and feed it to cattle. We feel our business is necessary to keep going in order to feed a very important part of the human food chain, which is beef. Due to the difficult times for ranchers/farmers we have not been paid for several months from some of our customers, yet we hauled them feed as we didn't want their cattle to go unfed knowing that we would be taking a risk.

  • Self Identified Competition

Jones Trucking out of Ipswich, SD has been in business for many years and has a much larger fleet of trucks/customers than us as well as Sylte Farms out of Ipswich, SD. Outside of that there are several small business owners such as myself that are in competition with each other. We are a very small family business that has been providing an important service for our customers over the last 8 years. We are willing to go most any distance to haul feed to our customers, and we rarely say no when a request is made. Our business is not a Monday through Friday 8-5 pm business and our employees work weekends/nights/holidays to meet the needs of the customer.
