Kirk-Will, Inc 55122836-FRN | Government Grant Application

Kirk-Will, Inc | Application Preview

Kirk-Will, Inc. is seeking government grants to support various operational expenses, including marketing, rent, and office supplies, while also aiming to pay the owner a salary. The funding will help increase visibility through billboards and participation in events targeting the Department of Transportation and substance use and mental health awareness.

Over the next five years, the business plans to secure an office space and hire staff to enhance service delivery. The owner, a trained Substance Abuse Professional, emphasizes the importance of funding due to a lack of resources in addressing addiction, especially in rural Arkansas and among minority communities. With rising rates of drug overdoses, there’s a significant need for education on addiction and opioid use, which the owner is prepared to provide through community outreach and training.

Kirk-Will, Inc. stands out in a competitive landscape of 7-10 providers in Arkansas. While only a few secure consistent clients, the owner offers personalized service that prioritizes client communication and rapid response. Unlike other providers, who may rely on automated systems, the owner is often available to answer questions directly, enhancing client relationships. This combination of expertise in addiction treatment and a client-centered approach positions Kirk-Will, Inc. favorably in the market, increasing its potential for success with the requested funding.

Marketing, rent, billboard, office supplies, fuel, marketing materials, business lunch to attract more clientele. It would be nice to finally pay myself a salary, postage, vendor fees to participate in vendor booths to market to the 6 operating administrations under the Department of Transportation and substance use and mental health events

  • Business Plan

My goal within the 5 years is to own or lease an office space. Hire an employee to manage the telephone or hire another Substance Abuse Professional to provide more services I am a Substance Abuse Professional that is highly trained and qualified to provide evidence-based care for those struggling with alcohol and drug issues. With me being a minority in the field of addiction, there is no to little funding available, even with the rise of drug overdoses and the disparities to treatment and care among rural Arkansas and black and brown communities. I am qualified to provide education to schools, community events and civic groups, to bring awareness and insight to recognize the disease of addiction. I am also a qualified Layperson Naloxone Trainer- -I can educate and teach others the dangers and risk of opiate/opioid use and how to administer the life saving drug Narcan (Naloxone). I am qualified to provide evaluations to DOT covered employees who violated the Department of Transportation Alcohol and Drug Testing Policy. I am very good at what I do and so I would like more resources in order to garner more business in order to assist more people. Lastly, I am highly knowledgeable in Medication-Assisted Treatment and connecting individuals to appropriate services.

  • Self Identified Competition

As a Substance Abuse Professional, there is about 7-10 of us located here in Arkansas. It is a very specialized credential and only are qualifed to provide this particular service. There are only 4 competitors that secure consistent clients, they are Martin Anita Martin Counseling Services, LLC, of Little Rock and Conway, J.G. Reigner of Counseling & Psychology Services, LLC Rock, Life Forward Counseling of Little Rock, and Antimoore Jackson of Little Rock I am very personable. I am the one that answers the phone. I make sure that everyone that calls get their questions answered. A lot of the clients I received state when they called other providers, the phone transfers to voicemail, or the provider on the other line directs them to fill out a form on the website, without answering their questions or concerns. I also make it a point to document prior to the 48 hour deadline to make sure each and every case is handled professionally and with care
