Hawk Lawn Service | Application Preview
Hawk Lawn Service seeks a government grant of $20,000 to enhance its operations by purchasing upgraded equipment and a secure trailer for storage. The owner envisions significant growth over the next five years by investing in higher-quality tools and engaging with the community.
The grant applicant highlights personal commitment, balancing a full-time job with the Galveston County Sheriff's Department while managing the lawn service as a part-time endeavor. The young entrepreneur expresses a strong desire to dedicate himself fully to the business, noting that financial constraints have made it challenging to acquire the necessary equipment. He assures potential investors that he would responsibly utilize the grant funds.
Despite facing competition from other local lawn services, the applicant believes his business stands out by prioritizing customer relationships over mere transactions. He emphasizes the importance of understanding clients’ needs and fostering connections, pledging a personal touch during regular visits every two weeks.

Business Plan
I plan to grow my business in the next 5 years by purchasing better quality equipment and reaching out to all sources to help my community. Investors should invest in me because I'm a 23 year old male who works for the Galveston County Sheriff's Department full time and do my lawn service business part time. I would really love to put all my time into my business. Just been harder to purchase better equipment due to prices being so high. If this grant is granted to me I im one of the few who would do the right thing with it.

Self Identified Competition
My top 3 competitors are local lawn service businesses who are in competition with me. My business is different because I'm for the people and what they like. Most lawn service businesses just come cut and leave. I believe in building a relationship because I will be at your home every 2 weeks cutting, and that's just something I'm big on in my business. The people come first.
