Candy's Daycare 802727253 | Government Grant Application

Candy's Daycare | Application Preview

Candy's Daycare is applying for government grants to enhance its service offerings and create a nurturing environment for children. The funding will be used to establish a welcoming space with essential items like toys, food, beds, books, and learning supplies, ensuring children feel at home while in care.

The business plan focuses on extending operating hours beyond the typical 6 PM closing time common to other daycares. This flexibility will accommodate parents working late and those needing weekend care. Marketing strategies include utilizing social media, distributing business cards, and displaying posters to raise awareness about the daycare.

The proposal highlights the need for such services, drawing on the founder's experiences growing up in Flint, Michigan, where many parents had to leave their children home alone due to limited daycare options. The daycare aims to provide peace of mind to parents by offering safe care during non-traditional hours.

In terms of competition, Candy's Daycare identifies Happy Elephant, KinderCare, and Sunny Patch Learning as its main rivals. Its competitive advantage lies in extended hours and weekend availability, setting it apart from these existing services. This approach seeks to meet the needs of working families more effectively than current options.

The funding will be used to create a safe and happy space for children who will be under my care at my daycare. To create a space where the children will feel at home while away from home. Toys, Food, Beds, Books, and learning supplies.

  • Business Plan

I plan on growing my business by offering longer hours for parents who may work pass 6pm when other daycares close I also plan on growing my business by allowing children to come on the weekend while parents may have to work. Using social media, business cards and putting up poster boards to showcase my business. Investors should invest in my business because growing up in Flint Michigan, witnessed a lot of parents leaving their children home alone while they worked or needed to run errands. I would often offer to watch children in my neighborhood while their parents went to work or even to the grocery store. I plan to make it easier for parents to feel that their children are safe and not have to worry about working a job based on the "normal" daycare hours. My daycare will be open and have extended hours for parents working passed 6pm and also parents who may have to work on Saturdays as well.

  • Self Identified Competition

Happy Elephant, KinderCare, Sunny Patch Learning. The difference between my business and my competitors is instead of closing by 6pm my business will be open beyond that time. Also my competitors are not open on weekends, and as for my business I will be open for parents and their children.
