All The Glam | Application Preview
All The Glam is seeking a $25,000 government grant to establish a blowout bar in Providence, primarily serving brides for trials and offering quick styling services to the public. The owner aims to provide an affordable alternative for women, especially working mothers, looking for last-minute styling appointments in a space where walk-ins can be accommodated with ease.
The funds will help secure a physical location and develop a professional website that reflects the brand. The business strategy includes building a local clientele, leveraging connections made in the wedding industry, and creating an environment where the owner can hire additional stylists. Based on recent success and positive reviews, the owner feels ready to pursue this venture, emphasizing her commitment to her dreams and entrepreneurial spirit.
The owner identifies a gap in the market, with current competitors located at least 30 miles away, allowing for potential success in the region. Unlike full-service salons that juggle various services, this blowout bar will focus exclusively on quick and efficient blowouts, maximizing appointment availability and profitability. The business plan is aimed at meeting high demand while offering a streamlined service experience.

Funding Usage
I would be so blessed to be granted $25,000 to open a styling blowout bar to be open through the week. This would double as space to bring all my brides for trials. When I’m not on location for a wedding or styling a bridal trial, I will have a space to give styling services to the public. I would love to employ 1 or 2 more artists to style/braid hair. There are many full service salons who compete with each other but it is rare when walk ins can come in to just get a blow out! Most stylists are booked for colors and cuts etc. There is not enough locations to walk in and sit down for a blow out, like you can walk into a nail salon and be able to get a manicure within 15 minutes. Working women and mothers need last minute services and I am here to provide affordable quality service in the city of Providence. The money will not only be used to help purchase a space but to curate a glamorous website to match glamorous product I put out.

Business Plan
I plan to grow my business within the next 5 years by building a local clientele for everyday styling as well as cultivating a larger following through a professional website which I would be using funding to create. I have made a variety of connections in the past 3 years in the wedding industry that I am not able to fill all the referrals I receive. I need this space to build a team who will also have a professional space to call home. I will then take a percentage of the services I book out for them in my space as a representation of All The Glam. As a 30 year old with two kids now in full time school I am beyond ready to invest 110% in myself and my career. However, being a young mother, I have very limited funds to do so. I always have to put my family first and that results in me just making due with what I have to work with. After being booked out the entire summer with 5 star reviews with the main company I work for, I said to myself, what’s stopping you? The answer is nothing! So, here I am, ready to tell you this Leo born woman was born with the fire that burns hotter than the sun. Failure is not in my vocabulary. I have manifested all of my wildest dreams thus far by my 30 year old goal age and the icing on top would be to start my dream business! In all my years, I have only seen blow out bars in big cities like Boston. The closest blowout styling bars are 30 miles away from Providence. This business is in high demand!

Self Identified Competition
My top theee competitors are over 30 miles away. I don’t feel like there is competition! All of the salons are booked and busy with cuts and colors. All of the other salons provide so many services that require much more time. This hinders the availability for styling services. As a former salon stylist, I know, salon stylists do not like to waste an hour of their time to do a blow out if they can book a partial foil for 90 minutes instead. I will not be cutting or coloring hair! My services will run seamless. Blowouts typically run on 1 hour appointment times unless the client has an excessive amount of hair which only increases the price of the service. If I can get downtown in a small location, I know this company will always have a client in the chair and drive a very high profit margin!
