Add a loft and bathroom for rental I live 1.8 miles from Universal Studios and started with a 2 person studio that was wildly successful with occupancy of 98% even with Covid-19. Ultimately, I would like to convert the 2bdrm into two studios but would need to add a bathroom. I would like to teach other people in my condo complex how to utilize their homes for Airbnb to live in and income. I am consistently rated as a 5-star Super-host. Airbnb has sent us statistics showing rentals are up OVER 47% from this time last year in my area because of the pandemic. The demographic is now people that are within a days drive wanting shorter stays that book on short notice. Doing Airbnb, picking up my guests from the airport and renting them my personal car has allowed me to work for myself full-time.

I live in a tourism area and actually compete with local hotels and my business is not hindered by this. In many cases my pricing is higher and it still doesn't impact my business. Comfort Inn, La Quinta, Extended Stay America and Clarion Inn Although I am priced higher that local hotels, because of Covid-19, people are drawn to Airbnb because they feel safer since there are less people to come in contact with. Airbnb has sent us data showing statistics rentals are up 50%. I have extremely unique design and decor.
