Settle Down Farm-MT | Application Preview
Settle Down Farm-MT is seeking government grants to launch its business and introduce its services to the Billings, MT community. The funding will be used for a down payment on a loan and to purchase essential equipment.
The farm aims for aggressive growth, anticipating a 100% increase in business each year over the next five years. By promoting their services and leveraging word-of-mouth referrals, they plan to steadily build their client base. Additionally, they intend to expand their offerings by acquiring more horses and tack for children's riding lessons.
The founders bring significant experience, having successfully operated a similar business in Maryland for six years. Their established background in ranching and farming positions them well to gain a solid reputation in the new community.
In terms of competition, the farm recognizes several local stables, including SC Stables and Kirk Farms and Stables, but notes that these do not offer horseback riding lessons or require clients to provide their own horses. Settle Down Farm's competitive advantages include an indoor arena for lessons and access to 14 acres of boarding space alongside over 900 acres of private trail riding, offering a unique experience not available through other local competitors.

Self Identified Competition
SC Stables- located in the heights of Billings. Differs in Location, and ability for trail riding, and access to horses. Kirk Farms and Stables- located near us but don't offer horses for riders. Require clients to use their own horses. Which decreases interest. High Planes Stables- Boarding only, no horse back riding lessons. We offer horseback riding lessons in an indoor arena. We provide the horses for individuals to ride. Most other competitors require clients have their own horses. We have 14 acres of land for boarding, and also have access to over 900 acres of trail riding that is privatized. No other competitor has that much room for riding.
