Assets Trucking, LLC | Application Preview
Assets Trucking, LLC is a newly established freight transportation business seeking government grants to alleviate financial challenges faced during its initial months of operation. The owner has invested significantly in startup costs, including a flatbed trailer, a truck, cargo accessories, and insurance policies, which have resulted in high monthly expenses. The revenue generated from load transport is currently insufficient to cover these expenses, making it difficult to sustain operations.
The business plan outlines a five-year growth trajectory. In the first year, the focus will be on managing finances and improving the debt-to-income ratio. By the second year, the owner plans to hire an additional driver, with further expansion in the subsequent years through leasing semi-trucks and eventually purchasing them. By the fifth year, marketing efforts will be intensified to foster growth in the community.
The owner emphasizes the company's flexibility in accepting various freight types and the commitment to serving the local DFW area and neighboring states. As a veteran of the US Army, there is a strong dedication to the community, which enhances the appeal for potential investors.
Assets Trucking distinguishes itself from larger competitors like FedEx and UPS by offering personalized and affordable services tailored to clients' needs. The emphasis is on direct communication, prompt service, and responsiveness, aiming to provide a more reliable experience compared to larger companies. Overall, the owner believes that with the right funding, the business can effectively meet local transportation demands while achieving profitability and sustainable growth.

Funding Usage
Currently I am a new small business owner in the freight transportation industry. I have been in business for about 3 months and I’m having a hard time earning enough revenue to cover monthly expenses and the start expenses I had to incur. To get started I had to purchase a 30,000 flatbed trailer, a 60,000 truck, cargo accessories to accommodate transport ranged about 10-15,000. In addition, I had to purchase an insurance policy when I got my EIN which is a monthly $300 in addition to the truck insurance of $600. To fill up my truck with diesel is about $500 which comes out of my load revue which is usually only about 1,000-1,500 a load. If I had catch up from the hole that was dug by my start up expenses I would be in a better position to continue to transport valuable assets across state lines.

Business Plan
After the first years is complete, I will evaluate my revenue and expenses and improve my debt to income ration and strategize my loads and travel destinations so they are maximizing my profit. After year 2 I will hire another employee to drive will I manage. Year 3 I will get into leasing Semi Trucks for more profitable loads until I’ve made enough to purchase one along with hiring another employee. Year 4 I will own a hot shot and a semi truck to truck 2 loads simultaneously, generate revenue and pay salary and operating expenses. Year 5 I will invents more in marketing promotions once we are solidified in the industry to boost growth. Investors should invest because we have no preference in freight types. My company will accept all contracts and freight loads as long as we can legally and physically accommodate. Many companies need cargo transport and we are here to help the local DFW as well as surrounding states. I am an Afghanistan Deployed Soldier in the US Army where I am known as Sgt. Jones. I loved serving my country for 8 years and plan to continue to serve my local community.

Self Identified Competition
My top competitors would be major hauling companies such as FedEx, UPS, and Amazon for they transport many types of cargo on a larger scale. I grant a more personalized and affordable service. I work with community citizens to small business to major warehouse facilities. My impact is not worldwide but it has the potential. Right now I’m focusing on making those in the metroplex have an Avenue of transport for their specialty hauling needs. They can speak directly to me and have their assets scheduled and delivered within a few days. No waiting in line, long wait on the phone, delayed shipping from major competitor, no cancellations due to “high demand”, just person to person quality service.
