Diamonds And Girls Mentoring Group | Application Preview
Diamonds And Girls Mentoring Group is seeking government grants to enhance its services for teen girls in low-income neighborhoods. The funding will be used to hire professionals such as counselors and tutors, acquire or lease a facility, and provide transportation for clients.
The organization aims to expand by employing more staff to support a greater number of girls, offering them resources and knowledge to navigate their futures. The mentorship program focuses on helping girls in challenging situations identify and pursue career options, ultimately fostering productive members of society. The goal is to strengthen family bonds and support minority households through various partnerships.
The proposal highlights that funding would significantly benefit the community by equipping teens with tools for success and reducing teen pregnancy rates. The program provides free on-site tutoring and counseling, addressing gaps in traditional education systems that often overlook career exploration. Diamonds And Girls Mentoring Group positions itself as a supportive space for girls to discover fulfilling paths and develop essential life skills.
In terms of competition, while there are similar mentoring groups, the organization emphasizes its unique approach. It focuses specifically on guiding girls through the transition from high school to adulthood, offering a robust mentoring experience tailored to the needs of minority girls. With smaller class sizes and a relevant social media presence, the program is designed to be modern and responsive to current trends.
Overall, the proposal underscores the organization's mission to empower young women, promote entrepreneurship, and prepare them for future leadership roles.

Business Plan
I plan to grow my business by hiring more people which will eventually accommodate more teen girls. I envision my business being of great service to the urban community by being a resource of knowledge for teen girls who are in unfortunate circumstances and who live in low-income neighborhoods. My organization will help the upcoming generation to be productive and explore their career options before they enter the workforce to give them time to know what it is they actually want to pursue in life. I plan to venture out to different locations, out of state, pay for advertisement costs. The goal is to see more families united and more relationships bonded through our partnerships and resources for helping minority households. I expect to expand and do the same for a male mentoring group. Funding organizations and investors should fund me this money because it is preparing teens to be productive adults and citizens. It is giving them the tools they need to explore entrepreneurship to grow the economy and an added resource for parents who are struggling to raise teens specifically girls who are at an impressionable age. My program is a mentoring group that is going to lower the teen pregnancy rate by showing them what else life has to offer besides acting on emotion. It will offer on-site tutoring and counseling free of charge for low-income families. Some high schools offer vocational programs but they don't give students enough time to explore career options. Whereas, my program is mentoring girls into women and giving them time to see many avenues in life, whether they want to explore entrepreneurship or simply learn a trade. So many times I have heard people go through college only to incur student loan debt for a degree they don't plan to use. Or a college student who is half way through their degree track only to realize they want to change majors. My business, Diamonds And Girls Mentoring Group is that safe haven for teen girls to explore different paths to find out what is truly fulfilling for them. While building a community of girls who will learn to lead by learning the importance of collaborating with their peers to support each other and building character by giving back to the community . My program will hire professions to help me lead the way on what the next generation entails. It does not take the place of high school education but is a trade school/ mentoring group helping teenage girls transition from the high school phase into adulthood. This will coach them to make sound decisions in relationships, with their finances and strategic plans to help them to work smarter not harder. Unlike other mentoring groups my focal point is helping minority girls work through specific challenges they face daily.

Self Identified Competition
I have any competitors because my idea is an original and offers something more but mentoring groups that are in a similar category is 1. Boys & Girls Club Of America 2. Ohio Technical College 3. HOPE Mentoring Program Competitors will offer assistance with post-secondary education. My program helps teenage girls explore through the process and transition from the high school phase into adulthood and to learn a trade and achieve a certification by the time they turn 18 years old. I plan to offer smaller class ratios to foster a more individualized approach and a more personal experience for all. I will be promoting entrepreneurship and the importance of collaborating with their peers to help promote their own businesses. My program is more current and up-to-date with social media presence and how it has impacted our teenage girls today and it is current with the trends of today. It is also preparing for Generation Alpha and what this new group of leaders entails.
