Yuzu Ramen LLC 84-3713660 | Government Grant Application

Yuzu Ramen LLC | Application Preview

Yuzu Ramen LLC is seeking government grants to secure a permanent location and expand its brand across Mississippi. As the first and only ramen-focused restaurant in the state, the company aims to provide a unique dining experience that locals previously had to seek out of state. The business prioritizes hiring local staff and sourcing regional products to bolster the local economy.

The initial expansion will target the Jackson metro area, with plans to move into college towns, which offer a favorable demographic for the ramen concept. Strong community interest in the brand has been evident, and Yuzu Ramen is dedicated to fostering employee satisfaction to ensure great customer experiences.

Funding is essential for their growth strategy, as they intend to set the benchmark for ramen in Mississippi, which currently lacks significant competition in this niche. Yuzu Ramen's competitive advantage lies in its exclusive focus on ramen, high-quality handmade products, and commitment to local collaboration. Both founders are native Mississippians who are passionate about contributing positively to their home state’s culinary scene.

  • Funding Usage

We are looking to make our next positive step in our goal of securing our own space and expanding the brand throughout the state in the future.

  • Business Plan

First and most importantly, we are the first and only ramen centric concept in the state. We are committed to expanding to other communities within Mississippi, offering an experience that area might have had to travel out of state to enjoy. We are committed to our state first and foremost, focusing on hiring local employees to help that region’s economy and trying whenever possible to utilize our local product. We believe that we have an opportunity to give people in Mississippi something they want and have been waiting to see come to the state. We plan to start in the Jackson metro area, then, as opportunities arise, expand into college towns first. This is because those areas offer the ideal demographic for our concept. And based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback from our time in operation, people are unbelievably excited and committed to the idea. Our most basic philosophy is treating our employees well to ensure highest customer satisfaction while offering an experience otherwise potentially out of reach for some people in Mississippi. We also take a lot of pride in being welcoming and making those unfamiliar with the genre of food more comfortable. We love sharing our passion for our food with everyone we can. We are committed to expanding our brand in Mississippi. As the first and only concept of our kind, we have a unique opportunity to make that first impression with customers and be the standard by which they compare any future ramen experience. We want to keep our business in Mississippi even as we expand. We want the local communities and economies to grow and be able to enjoy a product that is scarce in Mississippi but a hot trend in the rest of the country.

  • Self Identified Competition

The interesting and unique situation we are in is there is almost zero competition for our concept. A very small number of restaurants will have a ramen feature or occasional event, but we are really the first and only in Mississippi to make it our focus and theme. The potential future move into other communities outside the metro area would be a relatively easy and simple one. Because we don’t have any true competition in the traditional sense, we have a unique opportunity to set the standard for any ramen experience our customers might have in the future. We pride ourselves on consistent, handmade product and collaboration with local producers whenever we are able. My business partner and I were both born and raised in Mississippi, so we are serious about making our mark in this state. We aren’t some out of state transplant looking to make money and leave. Mississippi is where we want to be. We want to be a positive force in our industry and the community as a whole.
