Shawnee FixIt Shop llc 85-1095614 | Government Grant Application

Shawnee FixIt Shop llc | Application Preview

Shawnee FixIt Shop LLC is seeking government grants to expand its operations by acquiring a new shop that can accommodate larger jobs. Currently, the business struggles with limited space and equipment, often turning down multiple job requests each day. The funding will be used to secure a small lot, build a new shop, and equip it for expanded service capabilities. This expansion is projected to increase revenues significantly, from an annual income of $10,000 - $30,000 to an estimated $100,000 - $120,000 in the first year.

The business plan includes the purchase of service trucks to tap into the growing mobile mechanic market, with plans to open a second location within four years and subsequent locations every three to four years thereafter.

The owner, a veteran, emphasizes their determination and competence, positioning the shop as an alternative to competitors like CARma, Mavis Discount Tire, and Walmart Service Center, which are criticized for high prices and poor service. Shawnee FixIt Shop is committed to providing efficient, affordable, and quality repairs, focusing on customer satisfaction and building trust within the community. The owner's personal values and strong work ethic set the company apart from competitors that have adopted questionable practices in the industry.

  • Funding Usage

We plan to expand into a new shop, that can handle bigger jobs. We constanly turn down jobs, sometimes 2 or 3 a day, due to not enough room in our current shop for more than one job, or not having equiptment to perform bigger jobs. This grant would go to securing a small lot, and building a shop and furnishing it with the equiptment needed to perform these big jobs. With this grant we have the potential to bring in 5 times as many jobs, bringing us from around 10,000 - 30,000 a year, to close to 100,000 - 120,000 a year in our first year of operation. The following year we plan to purchase and outfit a service truck, and by year 5 we would have the possibility to expand and open up a second location.

  • Business Plan

We plan to purchase services trucks to cover the expanding need in the mobile market for mechanics to make house calls, by year four we wish to expand once again opening a second location, and opening new locations approximatly every three to four years. As a veteran, I am an extremely confident, headstrong, and compitent buissnessman with a need to excel. With a grant to get my company off the ground I could open a new shop and rise above the other shops in the area. People are tired of getting the run about from shady mechanics, and are tired of paying the high markups at dealerships. My shop promises quicker turn around times, lower rates, better and safer repairs, and the satisifaction of knowing that when a customer leaves with their newly fixed vehicle, that they can rest assured knowing that they didnt pay an arm and a leg for solid, quality work. Any investor that would give me at least half a chance would quickly learn that I can accomplish anything i set my mind to, without fail. All i need to accomplish my goal is a relatively small grant that would get me off the ground.

  • Self Identified Competition

Our main competitors are CARma auto repair, Mavis discount tire and Walmart service center. The other shops around my area are all beggining to recive a bad reputation for jacked up prices, poor customer service, poor craftmanship, poor quality, extremely long turn around times, adn not performing safe repairs. My company is dedicated to making sure a job is done right the first time, for a fair price, and in a reasonable timeframe. I am tired of seeing families taken advantage of by mechanic shops that have become to comfortable with this now common practice. My company is not about chasing a paycheck, but about making sure a father safely gets to go to work so he can support his family, or that a mother and her children can safely arrive at at a high school football game on friday. I dont like seeing somones grandfather getting the run-around by a company that sees him as a paycheck. I am a family man, and only want for others what i want for my family. I was raised to hold a strong work ethic, to never give up and refuse to fail. That is what makes me different from my competitors.
