The Loc Den Llc | Application Preview
The Loc Den LLC is seeking government grants to enhance their home-based loctician business. The funding will be used to find a manufacturer for oils and other products, purchase a dedicated business location for operations and client interaction, and buy supplies wholesale to support other stylists who may rent space. Plans include renovating the new premises to accommodate more clients and increase overall traffic.
The business aims to establish a stronger online presence to better serve clients who are out of town. The owner emphasizes the importance of effectively organizing and supporting small black businesses, drawing on their experience of successfully managing this venture since age 19 to ensure immediate profitability and brand expansion.
In terms of competition, top rivals are located in larger cities with established reputations and high-quality offerings, including notable names in the industry. Despite this, The Loc Den LLC stands out due to its personalized service, commitment to handmade, natural products, and the unique, homey atmosphere provided to clients. The owner aims to replicate this inviting environment in a new studio if granted funding.

Funding Usage
I am a home based loctician. I’d like you find a manufacturer for my oils and other products produced by myself for better wider production. I’d also like to purchase a place to run my business outside of my home and distribute my products to clients. Also I’d like just like the option to have walk in clients to increase traffic. I’d also like to use the funding to start buying my supplies wholesale for business use to other stylists who wish to rent out my space and to renovate the space I purchase.

Business Plan
Considering that I travel a lot with my business, once I have a efficient running space I plan on branding myself online as well to connect better and cater to my out of town clientele There are a lot of small black businesses that don’t know where to start or are very unorganized. I have been sufficiently maintaining my individual business since the age of 19 and only produce more ways to make more income. With this funding I will be able to pick up right away and make profit while expanding my brand

Self Identified Competition
My top 3 competitors are independent locticians based in bigger faster pace cities. It’s more opportunity and bigger names to work with than I have. Nappstar does rappers hair like fetty wap, but she also has a shop and patent products. They all can afford a better image and higher quality space, product, and materials to appeal to higher quality clientele What makes me different from my competitors is that I still am humble. I still take my time and pride in the services that I provide and everything I make is HAND MADE. I might not have fancy supplies but I assure it is always the most natural and beneficial to my clients. And being that I’ve been working from home for so long all of my clients get a relaxed comfortable at home feeling service every time, how me time SHOULD feel. I’d also like to incorporate that into my studio with funding if I were to be granted
