Bounce House Hawaii | Application Preview
Bounce House Hawaii is applying for government grants to enhance its operations. The funding will be used for purchasing new equipment and inflatable packages, increasing business insurance, renting storage space, acquiring a company phone and shirts, and improving their website and advertising efforts.
The business plan focuses on expanding the range of equipment, including inflatables and generators, and outsourcing storage space from the owner's home. The applicant intends to hire employees and acquire a company vehicle to facilitate operations and enable potential expansion to other Hawaiian islands.
The applicant, a 23-year-old native of Hawaii, shares a personal story of empowerment and determination. After feeling undervalued in previous jobs and wanting to be present for her child, she decided to pursue entrepreneurship. Inspired by the idea of bounce house rentals after a neighbor's party, she aims to create a business that allows her to be a hands-on mother while also earning a living. Her passion lies in nurturing her daughter's life experiences rather than adhering to a traditional job.
In terms of competition, the applicant identifies larger party rental companies like Anb Party Rentals and Alakaipartyrents as less personal and more impersonal, where employees may feel lost. Bounce House Hawaii seeks to differentiate itself by offering a personal touch, where customers feel like they are dealing with family rather than just a business. The applicant emphasizes her youth, motivation, and genuine care for clients, aiming to foster relationships that reflect integrity and the "aloha spirit." She wants customers to feel at home, enjoying affordable service from someone who understands them on a personal level.

Business Plan
We plan to purchase more equipment such as inflatables, generators and party rentals. Enlarge our storage space out of our home. Have a company phone and add employees. Have a company vehicle to hold large equipment and hopefully expand our business to other islands. I am 23 years old. Born and raised in Hawaii, you see that there isn’t much you can amount to. Growing up in Waianae, how can you envision to be bigger than something you’ve never seen. After being mistreated numerously from past employers, I felt expendable. After having my baby, I didn’t want to return to work a 9-5 and miss out on my daughters life. I realized time is precious and I never wanted to miss a moment. I realized I rather live in my car and go broke than having my daughter be raised without me. I began thinking of ways to make money from home, then I began thinking of ways to be my own boss. To make my own hours, schedule and rule my own life. I thought why not me. I did my research and am continuing to learn and be open minded about all there is to know in the business field. I hope to expand, grow and eventually have my business run itself. I loved the idea of bounce house rentals after coming up with the idea after a neighbors party. I loved the idea of money making itself and me physically not having to be there. I told my boyfriend and he was as ecstatic. I couldn’t have done it without him. I told him I am not passionate about bounce houses, but I am passionate about my daughter. Staying home to be a mom. She is my motivation and I never want to miss a moment. I want my life to look differently than all those around me. I want to run my own life. I want to make my own money rather than make someone else’s money for them. I believe in myself and I need someone else to believe in me too.

Self Identified Competition
Anbparty rentals, alakaipartyrents, mosthighjump All seem and look like large party rental businesses where employees get lost in the sauce, working laboriously for minimum wage. No depth or personal feeling to them. All seems like a gimmick who each can make their money from. We are different because I am different. I am young, business motivated, a woman, and learning. I am personal. I am the business owner but have also been the customer. I want to be the different company. I want my customers to feel like they want to rent from me because I’m like their sister, family or friend. I want to be cheap, affordable, kind and full of integrity. I want to be a business but I never want my customers to feel like they are not at home. I don’t ever wanna forget the aloha spirit and where I came from. I care about people, have emotional depth and truly personable. I want to treat my customers how I’d treat my brother/sister.
