Your Freight LLC FL1436499 | Government Grant Application

Your Freight LLC | Application Preview

Your Freight LLC is applying for government grants to fund various essential aspects of their trucking business. The requested funding will be used to rent a truck, obtain necessary insurance, purchase equipment for loading and securing cargo, and acquire office supplies to support administrative tasks. Additionally, the business plans to invest in an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to ensure compliance with driving regulations.

The business strategy includes saving enough money from transporting loads with a rented truck to eventually buy a semi-truck. The applicant has already applied for the necessary authority to operate across state lines and intends to employ their brother, who has a Class B license, to help drive with plans for him to upgrade to a Class A license.

The applicant emphasizes their experience in commercial driving over the past six years and their financial commitment to the business, having invested personal funds in startup costs. They seek funding primarily for the truck rental, highlighting their dedication to launching the company and creating job opportunities by expanding their fleet.

In terms of competition, the applicant views the trucking industry as abundant, with various companies thriving regardless of size. Their competitive edge lies in their personal motivation; as a mother of a large family, they balance their professional and personal lives, which fuels their commitment to success and achieving goals.

  • Funding Usage

Currently I have already applied for my authority. I plan on renting a truck and getting the required insurance. For loading and unloading, I will need a pallet jack and load straps to secure the load. For the administrative part of the business, I plan on acquiring small office items (scanner, stationary, printer). To make sure I am complying with the amount of hours I am allowed to drive, I will also need to purchase an ELD (Electronic Logging Device).

  • Business Plan

I will buy a semi truck when I save up enough from transporting loads with the rented truck. I have already applied for my authority to drive across state lines. The reason being is because my brother is also a driver and wants to drive for me. He has his Class B license, I have my class A. I will be renting a second non commercial truck to start with for him to drive until he receives his Class A license. You should invest in me because I have been driving commercially for 6 years and I love what I do. I have invested what I could of my own money into the business, which includes my LLC, applying for my authority with the FMCSA, and my BOC-3. The only thing holding me back is the funds for renting a truck. I am ready to get this company going and to employ others by securing more trucks so we can keep America moving.

  • Self Identified Competition

I am not in competition with anyone. There are so many trucking companies big and small and they all do well. Something is always needing to be delivered. Groceries, household goods, containers, you name it! I am in competition with myself. To surpass my goals. We all have the same goal. To get the job done and make money. The reason why I do it may be different. I am a mother with a large family. Even though I have a large family, I still manage to do what I love and still have time for my family. My job is never done as a mother or a trucker.
