Megan's Unique Botique 86-3761509 | Government Grant Application

Megan's Unique Botique | Application Preview

Megan's Unique Boutique is seeking government grant funding to establish a transitional housing program specifically for single mothers. The initiative involves purchasing land and tiny homes to provide safe housing for those affected by eviction during the pandemic. Megan underscores the urgency of addressing homelessness, especially for children, and aims to create a low-income assistance program to support families in need.

The proposal includes obtaining necessary permits for utilities and expanding services such as a food pantry, clothing distribution, and job resources to assist families in achieving stability. Megan has initiated an Angel Tree program to support families during the Christmas season and has devised application forms for assistance and sponsorship.

Currently operating as an LLC, Megan aspires to transform 'Unique Angels' into a 501c3 non-profit organization to broaden the scope of her community support efforts. She believes that approval of her funding request would mark a significant step toward enhancing local resources and improving families' chances for success. She notes the absence of direct competition in her area, emphasizing her unique approach and commitment to service as her competitive advantage.

  • Funding Usage

My plan is to purchase some land and some tiny homes to create a transitional housing program for single mothers. I would need to get permits to have water run, and electrical of course. A lot of people, including myself, have lost there homes due to being evicted because of the pandemic. Children should not be out on the streets. I want to start my own low income based assistance program to help out those in need. In addition, I am starting my own Angel tree program as well to help out families with Christmas. I already have created forms for parents to apply for help and a form for people to apply to Sponsor a family. I would like to have Sponsors for the transitional housing i want to start as well. I already offer a few different fundraising options plus have a category on my website that supports Holy Ghost Outreach Ministries based out of Ellington Missouri. I would love to make "Unique Angels" a 501c3 non profit organization. I currently have an LLC as Megan's Unique Botique.

  • Business Plan

My plan is to get the land purchased, get my permits I will need, and get started with as many tiny homes as I can put up. I will start with a few and add to it as I get families housed. One building will be a food pantry for the public. Another will offer clothing. Another will be job resources. Everything people in transitional housing needs to become successful. Just being considered would be amazing! But, ultimately, it boils down to helping the community. There are a lot of programs that help I some way or another but funding is not always available. That's why I want to have a sponsor program to help out. Giving another opportunity for families to succeed is an amazing reason it itself!

  • Self Identified Competition

I do not have any that I'm aware of. I haven't been recognized enough! Like I said, I don't have any competitors. I have not been open long enough.
