Bitter Day Herbals | Application Preview
Bitter Day Herbals is seeking government grants to support its expansion from a small herb shop into a comprehensive wellness center. The funds will be used primarily to hire employees and to distribute their products to local retail stores.
The business aims to offer a wide range of herbal and holistic services, including educational workshops and various fitness classes. Bitter Day Herbals plans to collaborate with practitioners in fields such as massage therapy, acupuncture, yoga, and nutrition, creating a community-focused environment. The grant would help finance staff to operate the store effectively.
The founder is dedicated to providing natural health options and employment opportunities in the holistic field, fostering the success of others in the community.
In terms of competition, Bitter Day Herbals views established wellness centers like Kripalu Yoga Center and larger herb shops like Blue Dragon Apothecary as major players, along with local yoga studios that share a similar holistic approach.
What sets Bitter Day Herbals apart is its vision to consolidate multiple holistic services under one roof, allowing for better communication among practitioners about clients' health needs. This comprehensive approach aims to minimize the number of separate visits clients need to make, while offering weekly workshops focused on health education. Additionally, the wellness center intends to include access to a licensed medical doctor, enhancing the range of health options available to customers. Ultimately, Bitter Day Herbals is committed to empowering individuals to lead healthier lives through a combination of holistic practices and professional medical support.

Business Plan
Bitter Day Herbals has a vision to extend the current small herb shop into a functioning wellness center, one that provides the community access to extended herbal and holistic services, along with educational workshops, and fitness classes. We suspect to have the opportunity to afford more employees, and team up with other natural and holistic practitioners, such as massage therapist, craniosacral therapist, herbalist, acupuncturist, yoga and fitness instructors, nutritionists, and the like. For this next year, I need grant money to afford employees to work store hours. I am passionate in providing the local communities holistic and natural options for health and well being. I also am passionate about providing employment to others in the field and helping them become successful in their own business goals.

Self Identified Competition
I see Kripalu Yoga Yenter to be a competitor due to the fact that they are a successful and established wellness center. I also see Blue Dragon Apothecary to be a competitor due to the fact they have a larger herb shop with educated herbal practitioners. I also see local yoga studios to be a competitor as they have a similar holistic vision as Bitter Day Herbals. Bitter Day Herbals wants to allow all holistic services under one single roof. This allows for clients and customers to benefit from practitioners who are communicating with each other about the clients health issues and health goals. The client and customer won't have to go to multiple offices for different things. We also are dedicated to weekly workshops, educating our customers on how to get and stay healthy. Our goal for them is that they can limit doctor visits and live a healthy, happier life for themselves through proper nutrition, mindfulness, positive mental health, herbalism, and exercise. Bitter Day Herbals has an extended vision to provide western medicine throughout its wellness center as well, so that people also have access to a liscensed doctor in addition to holistic practitioners. We want to give our customers and clients options with their health.
