BLISS 023822539 | Government Grant Application

BLISS | Application Preview

BLISS is applying for government grants to enhance their business by investing in high-quality tools, including a lapidary wheel, solid gold sheet metal, and valuable gems. The funding will also support the establishment of an LLC and the acquisition of additional equipment. If funds allow, they plan to pursue an apprenticeship to further develop their craft skills.

The business plan emphasizes hard work and building meaningful connections with others. The applicant stresses their reliability and commitment to transforming their dreams into reality, which serves as a key reason for seeking grant approval.

In terms of competition, the applicant acknowledges having several rivals but points out that their closest competitors are also friends. They share a strong support system that involves accountability and inspiration through consistent communication, whether in person or via group calls.

BLISS's competitive edge lies in a broader vision for growth and an openness to learning that sets them apart from many artists who may be limited by their current perspectives. The applicant recognizes the importance of strategic investments over time and seeks to navigate market fluctuations. They emphasize a mindset focused on stability and community support rather than materialism, creating art to foster awareness and sensitivity in others.

  • Funding Usage

I would like to invest in better tools, a top-quality lapidary wheel for cutting stone, solid gold sheet metal, more valuable gems to set, purchasing an LLC, and several other pieces of equipment. If there is sufficient amount remaining, my next investment would be to seek out an apprenticeship to learn more skills in my craft.

  • Business Plan

Relentless work and having fulfilling connections with people. I am a man of my word, and nothing can stop me from bringing my dreams into the physical world.

  • Self Identified Competition

I have many competitors, but those who are worthy of Top 3 are actually my friends who are in the same craft as I am. They are driven, unstoppable visionaries who cannot sleep peacefully if they haven't created something amazing that day. We hold each other accountable, and constantly inspire each other to work harder every day. If we don't see each other in person, we all do a group call and talk for hours while we work. It seems that a lot of artists in my craft cannot see beyond their current means, regardless of their talent. Some people just have a hard time taking an investment and expanding upon it over time. Personally, I have a very big picture in my mind, that encompasses much more than what I have in my hands at the moment. I am contemplating the investments for the next few years and how the market fluctuations could affect us in good and bad ways. I am also open to learn new skills, and aim to remain receptive to any knowledge that can come my way, as opposed to a lot of similar artists I'll meet who act like they already know everything. Those are the people that usually recreate their minimum-wage-mentality in their own self-employment. Lastly, although I am making jewelry, I am not interested in materialism. I seek to be a stable individual so I can support myself and provide help for anyone who needs it. While a lot of artists are in this game for the love of shiny things and the bling of the street, for me it really is an energy thing. I create to help people become more aware and sensitive.
