S&R Farms | Application Preview
S&R Farms is seeking government grants to support a project aimed at assisting veterans. The funding will be used to drill a well, acquire a tractor with a loader, purchase a multi-passenger side-by-side vehicle, and build three small cabins to accommodate veterans during their stay. Additionally, the funds will help construct a main house for meal preparation and serving.
As a disabled veteran, the owner plans to hire a full-time caretaker for the property and develop a pond stocked with fish to provide fishing and hunting opportunities on the 22-acre site. The overarching goal is to give back to veterans who have served, emphasizing gratitude and recognition for their sacrifices. The owner reflects on his own experiences in the military and the treatment of veterans in the past, expressing a desire to support those who have endured similar hardships.
In terms of competition, the owner notes that there are no significant rivals in the area, as all are focused on helping veterans. The unique selling point of S&R Farms will be its off-grid experience, which offers a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation, hunting, and fishing. The project aspires to create a supportive environment for veterans, allowing them to unwind and feel appreciated.

Business Plan
I being a disabled veteran myself, I would like to be able to hire a full-time hand to take care of the property for me. I am planning on having a pond dug and will have it stocked with fish to offer fishing and hunting for the veterans on my 22 acres. It is a chance to give back to those that wrote that blank check so those at home could prosper. It's a way to say "Thank You, You are not forgotten and we appreciate you". I served during Desert Storm and my father served during Vietnam. Though he was never deployed to Vietnam, I remember how our veterans were treated when they returned home. I was heart broken when I received a heroes welcome in 1991. My future son in law is a 2 time Afghanistan vet and an Iraqi vet. He has suffered in a most horrible way and kids today just don't understand that we don't ask of the horrors of war. But it happens. I want to be there for them and I know there are many others that feel that way too.

Self Identified Competition
In my area, there really isn't any competitors. We are all out to help our Nations Heroes. Just offering a simple off grid type experience type outing with a relaxing atmosphere and a nice hunt if they want and someday some fishing.
