C&K Woodesigns LLC dba Board & Brush Creative Stud 85-2031346 | Government Grant Application

C&K Woodesigns LLC dba Board & Brush Creative Stud | Application Preview

C&K Woodesigns LLC, operating as Board & Brush Creative Studio, is seeking government grants to support its recovery efforts post-pandemic. The funding will primarily be used to maintain payroll for staff, enhance marketing initiatives, replenish inventory, and improve studio facilities, including plumbing and ventilation systems.

Over the next five years, the owner plans to expand by opening a second studio, focusing on marketing to boost revenue and community presence. Current strategies involve outreach to local businesses for events and collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce.

As a young female entrepreneur, the owner emphasizes her resilience during challenging times and her commitment to growing the business. The studio serves as the only establishment of its kind in Granbury, offering unique experiences for community events like parties and celebrations. Grant approval would enable the studio to enhance guest experiences through improved staffing, inventory, and marketing efforts, reinforcing its role as a community staple. The absence of direct local competitors provides a distinct advantage for the business.

  • Funding Usage

Any funds granted will assist in keeping our team on payroll as we are still trying to recover from the pandemic. It will greatly influence our marketing strategies by being able to put more money towards marketing and local events to increase sales. We notice an increase in sales when we are able to put more towards marketing efforts. The funds will also assist in getting restocked on inventory and supplies to get through our busier season. We will also be doing a few studio improvements- the plumbing needs work as we are working with paint and the previous owners did not install the best pipes under the sink. We also spent $3500 to improve the ventilation/AC system and apply tint to the windows to assist with the heat during summer time. Thank you!

  • Business Plan

Over the next 5 years I plan on opening a second studio, hopefully sooner rather than later. I am working a full time job to supplement our income on top of running the studio. I would ideally like to only be operating our studios. Right now my focus has been on marketing efforts to try to increase our revenue and exposure to our community. I am actively working on marketing efforts by blast emailing businesses for team parties, experimenting with other marketing strategies- mailers, city website, etc. We previously joined our Chamber of Commerce to do an official ribbon cutting and utilize the chamber resources. I am a young, female entrepreneur who thrived during the pandemic after being laid off. I researched businesses and made contacts that eventually led to the purchase of our studio. We have bought into a top 500 best franchise company and are optimistic to help grow our business and the brand. I would like to open a second studio in a location that does not have a business with our services that can provide job opportunities to locals and create a fun entertainment venue for our patrons. Our current studio in Granbury is the only business like ours so we are a staple in the community for business employee parties, birthdays, bachelorette parties, girls night out, couples nights, etc. Any funds provided will allow us to continue doing what we are doing and improve on the guest experience by hiring more staff, improving supplies and quality of inventory, while increasing our marketing efforts.

  • Self Identified Competition

We are the only business like this in our area. Other studios across the nation may have local competitors but we are thankful to not have this road block in our area.
