Walton 84-4506606 | Government Grant Application

Walton | Application Preview

Walton's Way is applying for government grants to support the expansion of their business, specifically by investing in a van fleet and hiring new employees. Over the next five years, the business plans to target more schools, capitalizing on current interest from several institutions. They aim to enhance their visibility through increased advertising, including a new website and mail campaigns. Training will be a key focus, particularly with extended first aid, to distinguish them from competitors.

The rationale for funding approval centers on the high demand and profitability of their service, which provides school transportation using passenger vans. This model offers safer, more personal transport options in response to growing concerns among parents regarding post-pandemic issues, bullying, and violence. Walton's Way is gaining traction nationally as parents seek personalized alternatives.

In terms of competition, Walton's Way primarily faces large companies like First Student, Kinkertt, and Alltown, which traditionally operate yellow bus services. Notably, First Student is adapting by acquiring passenger vans to compete in this emerging market.

What sets Walton's Way apart is its familial approach. Unlike larger competitors, which may struggle with personal connections, Walton's Way prides itself on treating their drivers and passengers as part of a family. The owner and his family members are deeply involved in the operations, ensuring a more caring and connected service experience.

  • Business Plan

In the next 5 years I plan to target more schools with my service. I'm currently in talks with other schools who have expressed interest in my service. I plan to expand business with more advertisement such as website and mailings.I intend on expanding workforce with training that will seperate this company from other companies(extended first aid) Investors should invest in me because I am offering a product that is high demand with high yieldings. We offer school bus transportation in passenger vans instead of large buses, which allow safer transportation in a more personal space. Times have changed with post-pandemic situations, bullying and violence. Here at Walton's Way we eliminate a parents worry. Nationwide parents are choosing companies such as mine.

  • Self Identified Competition

3 main competitors of mine are First Student, Kinkerrtt and Alltown. These companies are all large companies that have large and small yellow bus service. First student has noticed how the bus service is evolving, and has purchased 7 passenger vans to place themselves in a lane such as myself. The thing that makes me different than my competitors is that they have become too large and unable to know the person behind the wheel of the vehicle that represnts their company, other than what they see of the person on paper. Here at Walton's Way we are literally family, my wife, sister, cousin, son's and daughter. We all have the same goals and vision. I know each individual more than what's on paper. We are family and drive the children as an extension of our family.
