Willows Marsh, LLC DBA RescueResumes | Application Preview
Willows Marsh, LLC, operating as RescueResumes, is seeking government grants to expand its small resume business following a personal setback due to COVID-19. The owner was downsized from an executive marketing position and needs to provide for her family, particularly since her husband, a cancer survivor, cannot work. She aims to offer significant discounts to transitioning military personnel as a way to express gratitude for their service.
The business plan revolves around the SO-LO-MO strategy, emphasizing social media, local outreach, and mobile engagement. Client referrals are prioritized, and the company focuses on delivering personalized services. RescueResumes is active on various local promotion platforms and social media and has previously contributed to well-known publications. The owner brings over 25 years of executive-level content marketing experience.
The funding will support the business, leveraging the owner's strong promotional track record and established network. Ultimately, there is a vision for franchising the RescueResumes brand.
In terms of competition, the application notes existing services such as RescueMyResume.com, Thumbtack, UpWork, and ZipJob.com, but highlights the owner's unique background in career consulting and crisis management as a competitive advantage. The approach is tailored and introspective, focusing on empowering clients to recognize their own worth and skills in the job search process.

Funding Usage
Rescueresumes.com has always operated as a small side business. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, I was downsized from my executive level marketing job. I am therefore growing the resume business four years earlier than planned, in order to provide for my family as I am the sole provider. My husband is a cancer survivor, but due to the removal of his larynx, can no longer work. I would like to continue to provide transitioning Military personnel a significant discount in service as a thank you for their service.

Business Plan
We believe in SO-LO-MO: Social, Local, Mobile. Client referrals are our number one channel to new business and we plan on continuing to provide superior, one-on-one custom services. We are also listed on a variety of local business promotion websites such as Alignable and Nextdoor, will maintain our LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook social accounts, submit thought leadership to high-profile periodicals (having enjoyed previous success with Forbes, MSN Money and others), and I personally bring more than twenty-five years of executive-level content marketing success and experience to the table. I have an excellent track record of promoting services and the executives for whom I have worked (and still consult with many). At this time, I have the network and the knowledge to promote my own services, toward the goal of eventual franchising of the RescueResumes brand.

Self Identified Competition
1: RescueMyResume.com (I existed before they did) 2: Aggregate services like Thumbtack & UpWork that charge a high-price per non-qualified lead to contractors. 3: ZipJob.com - big budget marketing. I worked for more than twelve years as a highly-rated career transitions consultant for (at the time), the world's largest career transitions firm. I complement that experience with ten very successful years in Crisis Management and Crisis Communication. My approach in NOT template-driven - it is highly customized and designed to help the transitioning client approach the job search from a truly introspective point of view; once our clients understand their worth, skills, abilities and the unique accomplishments they bring to the table, they become more confident, articulate and focused.
