Phoenix Women INC | Application Preview
Phoenix Women INC is seeking government grants to fund the purchase and renovation of their initial shelters, addressing the urgent need for resources for victims of domestic violence. The organization aims to expand its services to Arkansas, Texas, and Florida within the next five years, supported by a dedicated team of volunteers focused on marketing and fundraising.
The statistics are compelling: one in three women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime, highlighting the critical demand for shelters and support services. Currently, the resources available are limited, and Phoenix Women INC believes it is well-positioned to fill this gap.
Instead of viewing similar organizations as competition, Phoenix Women INC sees them as allies in the fight against domestic violence. The need for comprehensive support is vast, and collaboration is essential to help as many victims as possible.
What sets Phoenix Women INC apart is the personal experience of its founder and volunteers, all of whom are survivors of domestic violence. This connection fuels their passion and commitment to providing holistic support, which includes education on domestic violence, escape planning, legal resources, self-defense classes, employment skills training, counseling, resume building, and the creation of welcoming, child and pet-friendly shelters. Their goal is to foster personal growth and development, enabling participants to become self-sufficient and graduate from their program.

Statistics tell us 1 in 3 women will experience Domestic Violence in their lifetime. The need is there, there is very few resources present to meet the need and we are equipped and prepared to do so. 1 in 3 women will experience Domestic Violence in their lifetime. Self Identified Competition
We have many contacts for other out reaches with a similar passion. We don’t consider them competitors but rather allies. The need is so great and resources so few we need all hands on deck to rescue as many victims as we can. Myself as founder and our volunteers are survivors of Domestic Violence, our passion runs deep and on a personal level to reach as many hurting victims as possible. Most other outreaches offer parts of the services we do but do not offer each individual aspect: *education on what domestic violence is *form a safe escape plan *legal resources *self defense classes *basic skills to obtain employment *counseling *resume building *child and pet friendly shelters *personal growth and development to become self sufficient and graduate the program.
