The Creative Club of Chester County 87-1926645 | Government Grant Application

The Creative Club of Chester County | Application Preview

The Creative Club of Chester County is applying for government grants to enhance their 1300 sq ft studio space. The funding will be used for constructing and acquiring various facilities and equipment. Planned developments include a podcast room, editing bays, YouTube labs, and an upper-level meeting room. They aim to invest in essential equipment like cameras, 3D printers, Glowforge devices, video production gear, iMacs, lighting, tripods, SD cards, desks, and speakers.

The business plan focuses on creating esports teams, hiring 5 to 8 full-time employees, and collaborating with local school districts to implement after-school STEAM programs. They plan to help small businesses manage their social media, provide resources for minting NFTs, host film festivals, and offer specialized workshops, such as DSLR photography courses. Partnerships are in discussion with nearby organizations like Uptown! theater company for live streaming and video support, and they’re also eyeing future opportunities with a velodrome under construction nearby.

The funding is justified by the critical importance of video content in today's digital landscape. The Creative Club offers a supportive environment for individuals to engage in creating video content, live-streaming, podcasting, 3D printing, and virtual reality experiences while providing mentorship and social media management services for clients.

In terms of competition, they distinguish themselves from organizations like Rec Philly, which focuses more on music, and local robotics clubs and sports programs. The Creative Club's unique selling points include a diverse range of creative disciplines and servicing an underserved area in Chester County that is currently revitalizing. This positions them to cater to a broader audience, especially those looking to explore creative outlets beyond athletics.

  • Business Plan

We will venture into creating esports teams, having 5-8 full-time employees, expanding our footprint, working with local school districts to create after school STEAM-related programs, managing small businesses social media platforms, computer labs to mint NFT's, film festivals, specialized workshops for community members to sign up and learn i.e. "DSLR camera 101" courses, working with companies to create virtual reality experiences. Less than a mile from our studio there is a velodrome being built in the next 3-5 years. We will look to become their video partners. We've already spoken with "Uptown!" who is an established theater company in nearby West Chester. They're moving into the building a few hundred feet away. We spoke to them about partnering and becoming their live streaming and video partners. Video content is king. The creative club provides that safe space to get hands-on experience to create video content with professional equipment, video game live-streaming, Youtube content creation labs, create your own podcast, learn 3D printing, create virtual reality worlds via oculus, mentorship programs as well as work on social media content from clients of the creative club.

  • Self Identified Competition
