Edwards Civil Process | Application Preview
Edwards Civil Process is seeking government grants to support its expansion due to high demand for its services. The business is experiencing significant growth and wishes to enhance its operations by acquiring office space, hiring a team for correspondence and data entry, and obtaining additional licenses. This would enable the company to offer a broader range of services, including private investigations and training courses for new process servers.
The application emphasizes the unique opportunity for funding, citing the overwhelming demand in the industry which remains strong even post-pandemic. The owner notes an impressive track record of client satisfaction, consistent yearly growth, and an ability to maintain operations throughout challenging times. Unlike larger competitors, the business prides itself on its personalized service and quick turnaround times, specifically catering to Pro Se clients, which has fostered strong client relationships and referrals.
The competitive advantage of the business lies in its location within the Fourth largest city in the country, abundant access to legal professionals, and a reputation for efficiency and effectiveness, setting it apart in a relatively collaborative industry. The request for funding is positioned not just as a means for growth, but as a way to continue addressing the significant legal challenges faced by clients in real-life situations.

Funding Usage
I want to expand. We have such a high demand for our services that we never have to search for clients. I can handle business more effectively and proficiently with more resources and a team of employees as well as office space.

Business Plan
I would like to have office space. I want to hire a team that handles correspondence and data entry. I also want to obtain more licenses in my industry to be able to provide a larger spectrum of services such as private investigation and training courses to bring more process servers on board. Investors should invest in me because the demand for my industry is so high. Work is overwhelming without the help. There's so much potential in my business. I have outstanding client reviews. Each year my business grows rapidly. I obtain more and more clients and hardly ever loose any. My business sustained the pandemic without a decline in demand. I slowed down my productivity because I did not want to be exposed to the COVID 19 virus, ( myself) but the work never slowed down. People still needed divorce petitions served, people still needed assistance with child support proceedings and debt collectors continued to file suits and even more so it seemed through out the pandemic. My business definitely sustained the test of time.

Self Identified Competition
In this industry there aren't many competitors. We all work together. There are larger process serving companies, however, and they are able to obtain a larger client base because they are able to contract more fellow process servers. (ABC Legal) they have their own app that their employees use to navigate, accept jobs, and manage their pay. I have the benefit of being in the Fourth largest city in the country with a lot of attorneys at my disposal. I've built a great brand and a great name for myself/business. What makes my business stand out is my fast turnaround! Clients love that I am able to effectuate service so fast. We strive to make the "process" less of a "process". We work directly with Pro Se' clients and they refer us to their family and friends. Most process serving companies do not work with Pro Se' clients, but we do! We build a relationship with these clients so that we are able to help deliver their needs. In this industry, it's not all business. Some of the clients have very REAL dilemmas that we're able to help with. Locating an absent father and getting him served, for example, helps the single mother get one step closer to the financial assistance that she needs!
